This is what is scaring the shit out of me. As a Canadian, I can visit the US and stay (but not work) for 6 months out of the year legally... but given the situation they might just arrest me st the border or just after crossing for no fucking reason. This is why I am not going in any time soon.

I am a naturalized Canadian citizen. I have Middle Eastern features (but I am lighter skinned than many whites) but I could pass for Italian.
I've told everyone around me, once they run out of one scapegoat to persecute, they find another, it's what fascists do -- because persecuting x group didnt fix y problem, so now the issue must be z group. They've moved on so fast because they ran out of illegal immigrants to target. No one seems to listen to me, no one seems to care that after trans people and immigrants it's going to be the gay and the disabled.
