A reference to the movie Shrek!

[–] FateOfTheCrow@lemmy.blahaj.zone 17 points 1 month ago (2 children)

The third movie was a little too shit for my taste. But when Shrek 2 came out in '04, I think Dreamworks really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole film has a clear, crisp narrative, and a new sheen of comedic timing that really gives the jokes a big boost. He's been compared to Woody, but I think Shrek has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

The Shrek 2/Jennifer Saunders version of "Holding Out For A Hero" is better than the Bonnie Tyler original.

Shrek The Third was pretty decent IMO, but Shrek Forever After and all the spinoffs were really lame.

Here’s hoping 5 is at least passable

You haven't seen bad Shrek until you've seen Shrek 4D.

All the spin offs?

Are you counting the latest Puss in Boots movie? Because that one was pretty well received and I personally loved it

[–] BluJay320@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 month ago

Puss in boots excluded. That movie went hard af

Watch your mouth or I will keep unpacking and reencrypting your ass with lossy compression, until your bits scramble so much your files will look like a jpg that has been send around Facebook since the early days of the platform.

did your mom type that out for you or did you have a thesaurus handy?

Which word is giving you trouble?

Compression?

...Scramble?

What a grand and intoxicating innocence!

A Morrowind reference! This early 2000's RPG was considered extremely original and well written because of its crafting system, which allows you to hit god so hard that the game crashes.

Didn't Signal store the encryption passwords in plaintext on desktop?

[–] ElectroLisa@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 1 month ago

Yes, but the desktop app has to connect to your phone first before you can do anything

I have so much luck with "oversimplify your answer" that I use it all the time now.

Gemini (Google's shitty AI) has a button for things like this, and it's fun seeing what the AI deems more important.

I told it I ate glue. After shortening about 3 times, it's response was "Call 911, glue exposure! "

Inbetween shortens, it would change from 911 to 112, because Google knows my exact location, but it's confused because I'm talking English. I have had times where I say something in english and it will just respond in Dutch. It's so freaky.
