Nah, the real best IT person is working in the basement and hasn’t come out since 2003

That person is at home working on personal projects and occasionally checks on the automated systems they set up in the basement 20 years ago

Who's saying it's their best programmer/IT person? It could very well be their head of HR or legal counsel.

It's an in joke and a genuine trend that there's a large overlap between programmers/IT and trans women.

Ah, ok, I wasn't aware.

I was trying to make a joke that they were such a chad that they'd do this to their legal/HR team.
