They want to ban abortion AND no-fault divorce.

So once they're married with a baby in their belly, no matter what abuse they endure, they will not be able to request a divorce, because they essentially need their husbands permission first.

I wouldn't be surprised if they also pushed policies to punish unmarried adults, to force more women into unhappy marriages with incels who had no ability to attract a mate under any other circumstances.

So excuse the hyperbole, but it's essentially putting women in a position where they may as well be a slave.

I don't think Trump cares about that stuff...

I dunno maybe ask the ex-wife he violently raped because he got a bad and painful hair transplant how Trump felt about controlling women.

Oh wait you can't because she conveniently died from a fall while he was President and then was unceremoniously buried on his golf course.

But you're not wrong, Trump wants that level of control over every American, not just the women.

The man personally probably doesn’t give a shit. He wants power and admiration and if someone like Stephen Miller says “hey this plan I have for changing how divorce and abortion work is good for your campaign / presidency” then he will go along with it.

The threat of a man like trump is not that he personally wants to do a bunch of bad things (although he does seem to think a lot of awful ideas with clear history and mechanism of not working, like tariffs, are smart and good). It’s that he doesn’t care about the people around him that want to do awful things.
