That's still different servers, though, which might even be banned on your home server. Meanwhile, Reddit just has it as base functionality on the main site.

Reddit would get you banned on the whole website so not sure if it's that much better

Whether Reddit is better or worse is not the point, it's about whether it embodies OP's post better than Lemmy.
