Those woke authoritarian localizers, accurately translating content from the original release! Don't they know Japan is supposed to be some bastion of traditional thought, untainted by wokeness?
It was never about preserving the original work
By erasing Vivian's transness, they also removed transphobia from the game which is mega-woke.
