They're not in denial, they're intentionally distorting the facts to push a narrative that POC and immigrants are bad.

It's the only move they've got left, and it's usually a favorite of fascist policies/agendas, so historically, it works well for their base.

It's not just extremely common, it's nearly the entire population.

99% of all americans have either a great grandparent, a grandparent, or a parent who's foreign born, or are themselves a foreign born citizen/permanent resident.

We are the nationless state, and the state of all nations.
