I think it's three things.

  1. Cheap fabric on the chair
  2. From the bunching at the front, it looks like this person slides forward when getting out of their chair and not straight up. After awhile, it started to tear until we got what we see here.
  3. Probably a bit of a stinky Pete given the stains, but I also don't know how old this chair is.
