Damn, someone really said "a pox upon you" and it worked way too well huh

Fr tho from what I'm reading online monkeypox looks harder to spread than corona, requiring either direct contact with contaminated skin or materials or prolonged face-to-face contact. As long as this latest outbreak isn't a direct result of a mutation that makes it more easily spreadable, practices developed during Covid should be more than enough to keep people safe at scale - although this time the heavy sanitation of physical surfaces in public spaces and infrastructure will be far more necessary, especially since I'm sure a certain segment of the population we're all familiar with by now will be posting tiktoks about rubbing their mpox scabs all over hand rails and bus seats.
