If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

I love Led By Donkeys, and fuck Liz Truss and any Tory, but why are they wasting their resources on an ex-ex-PM who isn't even in parliament anymore? It's not like we've exactly run out of serving donkeys to target..
I can't imagine it cost that much to do it, it also puts the focus on her work trying to get Trump elected, and reminds everyone (or even informs Americans) of what she did. I assume LBD are also trying to help derail the Trump campaign.
I guess, but as far as I know, they're funded by donations (and are meant to be focused on UK politics, not US), so it's not like they've got a bunch of cash to splash about, and I really don't think Truss is worthy of them wasting any resources on, she's best left to be ignored by history as the failure that she was, not kept relevant when she really isn't.
I get that she's easy and enjoyable to make fun of, but even if it is about indirectly targeting trump, and they really do want to influence not only local but global politics, there are much better targets.
But hey, not my money, not my choice, just my personal opinion.. ¯\(ツ)/¯
Why are they meant to be focussed on anything, do they have a manifesto which says they only do that? They have done stunts related to Trump before (when he was in the UK), so this isn't out of their modus operandi.
Truss has kept herself active politically, so she's fair game. She hasn't been held to account for what she did, and she hasn't allowed herself to be ignored by maintaining her grift.
That's not an opinion, that's just baseless information.
I'm a donor to Led By Donkeys and I fully support this action. The election of Trump would be bad news for both our countries, and all the other ones, and anything that recalls how terrible the last government was in the minds of the British public is constructive.
I'm a relatively-informed American (or at least, I try to be) but I'm drawing a blank here. What did she do again?
She was British prime minister for a few weeks. She was booted out because her 'strategy' to 'revamp' the British economy crashed it extremely quickly.
Became Prime Minister, crashed the economy with Kwasi Kwarteng, killed the Queen, then said it wasn't her fault and that they should have gone further with their mini-budget. Now she's a Trumpette.
she crashed the economy by saying she was going to reduce taxes on the rich, so much so the bank of England had to step-in to shore up bonds.
Because those Americans might not know who they are listening to. It's in our interest that American doesn't listen to people who tank economies. The world is very interconnected.
Right, because there is o information available out there for people to look up..
Those who care, already looked her up, those who don't, won't pay any more attention because of this.

Why not applaud them instead of armchair-criticising them?
They will know her from their already bat shit echo chamber sources. This might help them to look further.
Maybe is recreational fun time for them? I mean the whole thing is literally a hobby for them, right? So seems to check out.
Like I said, not my money, not my decision, but none of that will change the fact that I think they're wasting their time and money on someone who needs to be removed from the public eye, not continued to be made relevant, and that there are people much more worthy of LBD's attention.
Most people learn early in their lives that ignoring problems doesn't make them go away.
And other people learn that targeting the most minor and irrelevant of symptoms expecting it to cure the disease is never going to accomplish anything, but rather give people false feelings of hope while doing nothing but waste time and resources while the cancer metastasises and gets significantly worse. ¯\(ツ)/¯
Because they’re centrist liberals, and attacking Starmer for not rejoining the EU or forcibly redistributing oligarchs’ mansions to the Unhoused or whatever isn’t in their agenda.
Maybe once the Tory kakistocrats have shuffled into their tarpit, they’ll start going after the Brexit elephant in the room, helping to push public opinion into rejoining the EU and drag Starmer along with it.
This is the sad truth.
Blame who you like, Brexit was an epic own goal. As was trump.
Vast, highly organised resources were behind both. It's depressing that the voting public was so easily deceived, but the volume of propaganda behind both Brexit and Trump was extraordinarily high.
Indeed it was. And the source and funding of that propaganda is as much fascinating as it is predictable.
