Rules

AI Art: While we appreciate AI generated art, there are more appropriate communities to post that type of art to. Please keep posts to non-AI generated art only. This rule includes AI art that was then manually manipulated (e.g. drawing on top of something generated by AI).

Nudity: Nudity is and has always been a part of art, but it may be something that some users don't wish to see or cannot view in certain circumstances (e.g. at work). If your work contains nudity, please mark it as NSFW. Work that contains nudity that is not marked as NSFW will be taken down. As long as the NSFW tag is used, we welcome nude subject matter.

Spam: Please do not spam this community. Self promotion is fine if you just want people to be aware of your work, but blatant attempts at spam will result in the past being removed and possibly a ban. If you aren't sure if what you are posting is spam, please contact the moderator first.

Conduct: Be nice, and don't be a jerk. Constructive criticism is OK, but don't be mean. Encouragement is always welcomed.

@cashmaggot reached out to do a collaboration together. I can't stop staring at the line work in Nightcrawler, particularly the hair.

I had so much fun doing this I can't wait to get another opportunity! And mostly I think I made a new friend!! (Not trying to be too forward and all)

My first watercolor tree. I learned that I can find watercoloring a bit frustrating lol

Continuing my exploration into watercolour. This is based on the tarot card strength.

Acryllic paint and marker on paper.

Part of my series inspired by fiction books. This is based on Deb Rogers' Florida Woman. The book takes place on a macaque reserve, and some of the monkeys are dangerous carriers of the Herpes B virus, as depicted in the painting.

This book was more red herring than plot. I don't recommend it.

Acryllic paint on paper.

Part of my series inspired by fiction books. This one is based on Ursula K LeGuine's The Lathe of Heaven. I attempted to paint in the style of Alexej von Jawlensky. I didn't enjoy it, and don't feel it turned out well.

Mount Hood overlooking the city of Portland, OR is a big motif in the book, as is the moon. It's a short read, and a philosophical look at whether we have a responsibility to change things for the better, or avoid making them worse.

Took a painting class at the local art museum today and painted one of my first acrylics. I was really tight on time and finished this in less than 1 hour. Still happy with it tho. If I had more time, I'd work a lot more on shading the water, adding some foam in the wind, and making the trees more blurry pixelated like Monets. I might go get some acrylic paint and finish it up.

I'd love some feedback or guidance.

I somehow ended up at a local block party (I was walking past and they had free pizza) and ended up painting my shoes.
