Incitement to violence. They didn't just follow the bus, they threatened and ran people off the road at high speeds. I guess that's perfectly fine now in Texas, outside of city limits at least (where small town sheriffs decide which laws to enforce, and who to harass).

The guy supposedly won by like 15 points a few years ago (after barely winning previously). I know it's unbelievable (along with Abbott's fairly big win in Texas while killing people with power outages). But either they're rigging elections (more projection, what a surprise!), or massive numbers of deplorables are flooding the state (and/or sane people are escaping).

That said, fuck 'em. This kind of pathetic, cruel, lawless behavior will continue escalating until there are real consequences. Wish we had a ruthless DOJ to harass them back at every step.

Republicans:

grabs a gun, shoots the govt

why would democrats do this?

rides bicycle, puts stick in wheel spokes

why would democrats do this?

Repeat ...

Putin begging for weapons from everyone, but only receiving garbage from North Korea and Iran. (While Zelenskyy receives quality tech from Europe and US, and Ukrainians impress with drones.) Heartwarming.

desperate scraping at the bottom of the barrel intensifies

That's a bit of a stretch. A jury adheres closely to the facts, is educated about the relevant subjects, and there are penalties for unreasonable behavior. "Public opinion" does not override anything. It is not okay to break the law just because a cult disagrees or doesn't care. They can vote for change to the laws, but until they are actually changed everyone must follow them.

But where does it end?! Next, they'll want better health benefits or paid leave, AND 17G SUPER FAST MAGIC INTERNET THROUGH THE AIR! Please think of the poor shareholders...

What does public opinion have to do with law? That's not how the justice system works. Convictions mean nothing without sentencing. This only further erodes people's faith in the system. This decision is nothing but cowardice.

I somehow forgot that the military loses the same freedoms and benefits that we all lose under GOP (religious extremists, deranged fascists, etc).

It's ironic that free/subsidized healthcare and education, basic pillars of society that all Americans should enjoy (like most civilized countries), is instead used as some amazing military benefit. I guess we all just need to join the military! I can't imagine who would even consider joining without these, at least for a generation or two (until forgotten). But as you said, healthcare especially is already being chipped away for many people.

I'm a bit surprised Xvideos is still viewable in "Tread on me, daddy!" states like Texas. (Maybe Paxton really thought it was Elen's homemade porn site? Just kidding, it's Czech owned, they can just ignore his deranged lawsuits. And now the most visited porn site in the world. Republicans are killing American jobs, confirmed.)

Revenue improves. "We did it! But... line must always go up!? More!" Enshittification will continue until death occurs.

Are benefits getting cut? Honestly. All I ever hear is about trying to get more health coverage, fix the VA, and nearly $1T annual budget.

What might the current president do with monarchical immunity to act? Sorry, that’s not admissible.
