Youtube has started to artificially slow down video load times if you use Firefox (old.reddit.com)

Spoofing Chrome magically makes this problem go away. The slow down is 5 secs according to the video.

Software dev here.

Client app have little to no knowledge about server limit.

Usually the limit is set at various places in the server. Even the server app itself does not know it's file size limit most of the time.

Anyway the screenshot is still worthy of the topics.

What addons/scripts,etc do you consider necessary for firefox? in c/asklemmy@lemmy.world
