MODERATORS

Hi everyone,

The day has arrived: Lemmynade is now open for testing! Scroll to the bottom to get started, or read on to learn more.

What is Lemmynade?

Lemmynade is a refreshing mobile web app and desktop site for Lemmy.

  • Beautiful. Lemmynade is crafted to put the spotlight on users and communities to drive more engagement throughout the Lemmyverse.
  • Powerful. Lemmynade also strives to be a collection of top-notch Lemmy tools for lurkers, creators, moderators, and admins alike.
  • Accessible. Lemmynade is fully-indexable by search engines. All content can be accessed on desktop and mobile with or without an account. Accessibility features will continue to be added and refined.
  • Private. Lemmynade only collects simple, anonymous, aggregated data through Umami. Everything else is stored on your home instance or on your own device.

Why is it called Lemmynade?

It's no secret the unfortunate reality of social media and Internet privacy these days. Some of us are here to escape from it all. Some of us are trying something new. Others have been pushing content and code night and day to make Lemmy better. A few of us are even here for !canning@midwest.social.

"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade."

The name "Lemmynade" serves as a symbol of the incredible achievements made here despite the lemons we've been served. What we have here on Lemmy is remarkable. We are part of a vibrant, offbeat internet culture completely funded and maintained by its users on every continent. Lemmy is truly what we make of it, and I hope Lemmynade assists this endeavor in all the best ways.

Get started!

While we're in alpha, expect to encounter plenty of bugs. You can report a bug or submit a feature request anytime from the ••• in the upper-right corner of Lemmynade. When you're ready, copy the Access Key below and continue to Lemmynade (lemmynade.app) →

Known Issues

  • The desktop layout will be available at a later date. Lemmynade is best used on small screens and mobile devices for now
  • Post creation is not the most elegant experience at the moment
  • Accessibility for screen readers, etc. is very limited at this time
  • Tabs do not always retain the last route or history
  • Sometimes, when returning to your home feed, it may spit you out above or below the scroll position you were at last
  • Markdown does not support tables, spoilers, and a few others at the moment

Is it a installable PWA?

When I tried it stucked at signing in. I logged in first on Firefox and edge on Android and then install with both. Both stucked.

Hmm, are you getting an error message, or is it just hanging?

Edit: Looks like some instances can take a while to log in sometimes. I increased limits and moved things around to allow more time for logging in. Let me know if you’re still having trouble!

It seems the overlay does not disappear. The blurred behind the overlay was changing so I think the feed is working.
