After a quick glance at the literature, I'd say that there are some chemicals that induce avoidance.
But I was frankly too lazy to look into the learning aspect.
I've been there this summer. There's a sign asking you to tell your nationality while passing the person. It's just for tourist demographics and completely voluntary.

Ich hab Dir schon bei der Diskussion vor fast 3 Monaten den Statista Link gezeigt wie stark die Hauskatzen in den letzten Jahren gestiegen ist.
Versteh mich nicht falsch, die beiden Effekte wirken zusammen und schließen sich nicht aus. Aber die Populationen sind stehen so stark unter Druck, zB durch zu viel Pestizide in der Landwirtschaft, dass die unnatürlich hohe Mesopredatorpopulation den Todesstoß versetzt.

Du kannst nicht guten Gewissens das Ökosystem von vor ein paar tausend Jahren mit dem Heute vergleichen. Der Lebensraum für Wildtiere ist seitdem geschrumpft, die Zahl der Katzen gestiegen (alleine 2000-2023 von 6.8 Mio auf 15.7 Mio laut Statista). Und das anpassen geht nicht innerhalb von ein paar Tausend Jahren, die Prozesse sind von der Größenordnung her im Bereich 10-100.000 Jahre minimum.

It kinda rubs me the wrong way, because bats are not actually blind. They have pretty decent eyesight.
