Isn’t voting open for much longer than 1 day? Polls are already open…and so is early voting and mail-in ballots, etc. Election Day is just like the last day when (allegedly) the winner is decided. Not really a point for a full-on, everything closed type holiday, or even a “bank holiday” like President’s Day.

Most, if not all c’s are pronounced as hard K’s in Elvish (Elven?) languages.
It does get a little weird with places like Cirith Ungol, but there are, allegedly, older maps where it’s spelled Kirith.
I actually read that 2 or 3 times wondering why T and G were circled, wondering what was the issue here….then I finally noticed… maybe whomever the email was sent never even noticed!
Im not sure how the game was with that kind of build at launch, but i did a similar build on my last play-through after the big Phantom Liberty update. It starts out a little rough, you do have to level up to get higher skills that either slow tracking, or completely negate in some ways- so yes, it is kind of a “slog through it”, but arent most RPG builds that way? You have to complete them for them to be really effective?
At any rate, i always finished my hack stacks with a memory wipe if i wasnt sure the stack would kill, ran a deck that made hacks spread repeatedly to nearby enemies, so they kinda kept AOEing each other to death while i watched from the corners. If i started getting traced, i’d either quickly try to figure out who and eliminate before i was caught (if i didnt start with any hackers in the first place- usually the hackers are obvious when you scan them). By late game i could just roll up on a building, scan, dump hacks, wait a few seconds, and walk in to a building full of bodies…pretty OP, lol.
Last resort was always running away- id always make sure i had a clean way out. If you get far enough away (it’s not really too far) the tracking will fail since you’re out of range.
That’s about how i figured it would be…seems like it would be kinda weird to get right, and even then you kinda need that reassurance of a good pat 😆
Man…i remember, and will never forget, going to see this in the theaters. Was not ready for what this brought!
I saw it again later on dvd with the alternate ending…i think the alt ending makes it all even worse…obviously that’s the point, if you’ve seen it, but still….😩
This movie totally messed me up for anything involving caves. Imagine my anxiety reading about that Nuttypuck Cave deal (i forget the actual name, but IYKYK…)
They exist. I think primarily a Japan thing (no surprise…). I havent seen one in person, but seen them for sale or some weird bidet article about all the options you can get. Hot/cold water, his/her’s, blow dry, lights, music, multiple user pre-sets, etc. usually it’s sold as the entire toilet, not an “add-on” option.
Yup, i havent been able to mute in a long time. Tried all the buttons, multiple buttons at once, etc. The worst ones are the ones blasting whatever that stupid “fuel pump show” is that talks about what’s going on in the pop world with “famous” people ive never even heard of, or stupid “life hacks” that arent…
Shouldnt suprise you but…US. (Possibly other countries) Years ago they started adding video screens to display certain things, so as natural progression goes….there’s a screen so there will be ads. Loud-as-shit video ads that play as soon as you start pumping. And when no one is at the pumps they cycle silent ad slideshows.
Not the full military, per say- National Guard is controlled by each State’s Governor, but can still be called on and used on the Federal level. This was a State level issue. Not always for “defensive” issues either, usually humanitarian, etc.
I’m not advocating one way or another on the WHY they are there, just pointing out that those armored vehicles are NOT police.

Ugh. That’s awesome. Gotta have them now! Mainly because I dont even have (or have heard of) most of those! Interesting that Children of Húrin isn't in any of these sets. I feel like it was a long enough book alone to not have been incorporated into one of these…
