It is kind of impressive they had this much mapped out when it hadn't even been 50 years since Columbus's first voyage.

I met a guy whose hobby was painting vulvas. It was a very active hobby and his apartment was covered with his work. He seemed very proud - his gf not so much lol

They like to set the speed of light to be 1. That is dimensionless 1. It makes their calculations simpler this way instead of dragging some power of c everywhere like a loosely connected trailer on a dirt road.

When i took a particle physics class we measured everything in energy (eV). In this case of measuring everything in seconds, acceration would be measured in units of 1/s

Everett's opinions align well with the Progressives of the early 20th century. Both Republicans and Democrats had progressives amongst themselves at that time, so I bet his vote varied based on the candidates rather than being hardstuck one party.

I have in my mind that Everett lives in San Francisco

reading these comics it seems animal cruelty was more common back then. it is nice to see that we have grown as a society

Yes appears most people have a lot more common ground than it they would expect, but everyone is convinced their candidate is the way to best fix things. I believe this is why there is so much focus on social issues like what bathroom people should use instead harder things to fix like monopolies.

The biggest difference btwn the parties is one is still down playing climate change caused by global warming, and that is objectively wrong.

But radiation would damage electronics too, and Data is irreplaceable

you sick bastard

I have been working on my 5k time, and today I ran at near race intensity to see where i was at. My watch has been estimating my 5k time to be around 31 minutes. Well today I ran it under 28. I go see what it had to say about this, and it drops its estimation to 30:30. "Ok bruh, I see what you're about now.", I say to it.

Anyways I am interpreting this as a reminder that my watch doesn't replace a real coach, and I need to put more thought into my training.

It has been a couple weeks since i played, so I am not sure if patch 4 has anything to do with it. I have not found any posts about it not working on linux, so i was wondering if anyone else on linux or debian having trouble?

edit: I switched to proton experimental and it works

I have a ~22 inch torso. I bought the osprey poco plus child carrier which says it supports 22 inch torsos. I went a couple three hour hikes this weekend and my shoulders were done at the end of each. this isn't normal, right? I am thinking of trying another carrier, but i am worried there are no child carriers for tall people.
