En 2022, j'ai du mal à voir quel aspect de Mélenchon est suffisamment repoussant pour lui préférer 5 ans de Macron en tant que socialiste, et je dis ça en ayant une longue liste de griefs à l'encontre de Mélenchon.

Correct, no comma before the last element if it is preceded by a conjunction (e.g. "et", that is "and" in English) in French

Did you perhaps forget to say bonjour/excusez moi or other necessary greetings? That'll make people look angrily at you regardless of how good your french is

After having not played for about 10 years, I went and did a few runs of my old reliable, gargoyle fighter, with a couple runs going to 5 runes before my discipline failed them. What are some fun new combos to try out? I used to enjoy high elves sword&sorcery but I see that this race is gone, anything that would fill that kind of fantasy?

That's incredibly generalizing. You seem to have had the misfortune of traveling with some assholes, that doesn't mean all or even most of us have that kind of behaviour.
