They may do that, but then again, they may not. Let's see what happens.

Switch is a godsend for parents. Just put it to sleep with a press of button when needed, and then start back from there later.

Coming October 10th

Yeah, it's one of the biggest reason I moved to consoles. That and the fact that we didn't used to have much support for Linux gaming back in the day. Thankfully Valve has helped a ton with that.

Yeah, I agree with PS Portal and the price. And yeah, it's the same thing with PS5 Pro, if it was $100 cheaper, I think people would've been much more receptive to it.

A "console" like box, where games run on a click, without fiddling with anything, at competitive pricing and power. If valve can provide that, they can take over a huge market. Well, they are already doing it with SteamDeck, but a proper home console would bring them in direct competition with PS and Xbox.

I haven't looked at AAA games, but pretty much any indie I have looked up is cheaper on Steam than on Switch or PS.

Depends on the adoption, if enough people don't go for it, it won't make much for a difference.

... but I like PS Portal. Well, I like the idea of it. Haven't tried the actual device yet.

Good for you!

Personally, I am not sure I can call it a banger month. The Plucky Squire is great, and Night in the Woods and Road 96 are good indies, from what I recall, but rest are just okay (as far as I know about them) and no big AAA game. If it wasn't for The Plucky Squire, it would've been one of the worst month, IMO.

Though, I downgraded from PS+ Extra (well, PS+ Premium actually) few months back, so don't care too much about these anymore.

Extra:

  • The Plucky Squire | PS5
  • Under The Waves | PS4, PS5
  • Night in the Woods | PS4, PS5
  • Chernobylite | PS4, PS5
  • Wild Card Football | PS4, PS5
  • Space Engineers | PS4, PS5
  • Road 96 | PS4, PS5
  • Ben 10 | PS4
  • Far Cry 5* | PS4

Premium:

  • Pistol Whip | PS VR2
  • Secret Agent Clank (PSP) | PS4, PS5
  • Sky Gunner (PS2) | PS4, PS5
  • Mister Mosquito (PS2) | PS4, PS5

*PlayStation Plus re-release.

Well, the general consensus seems to be, the upgrade doesn't seem very noticeable, and the price is too expensive. $200 more than the base model.

I think there would have been less complaints at $600 price range, but that's just my speculation.

But if you like it, and can afford it, it is more powerful than PS5, so go for it!

Disc drive I can understand, with the push for digital, but vertical stand? That's just cheap.

“Yes, so we have free [downloadable content]—so it’s going to be free,” Doucet said. “It’s going to come this year. It will be smaller. You know it’s not going to be like, you know, a huge, huge amount, but it will be focusing on one of the features that people enjoyed in ASTRO’s PLAYROOM—that was the speedruns. You know, there were some speedruns, and the levels were quite short, but it was the fact that you could replay and keep shaving time off… with some new VIP bots to rescue, so some characters we didn’t include yet will appear. But yeah, that’s going to come, and that’s going to focus really on kind-of challenging levels. But if we can, we’d like to also insert something a bit toy-feeling, something that could be really like for any pla

Nice! I have yet to play any Metroid Prime game. Plan to play the first remake soon, and hoping for remake of 2 and 3 to follow soon.

You are hyping up Trials and Tribulations for me, would probably end up playing it sooner that I originally planned.

It has been a little while, so don't remember much about cheap deaths, but I think dieing doesn't cost you too much, cause I don't recall any special annoyance with it.
