Played out some 4-5 hours more of Dragon Age: Inquisition, there are still 3-4 areas I haven't even started exploring, so this is going to take a few months more.

Also played a few hours of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Some spoilers if you haven't played the game. If your client doesn't auto-hide them, you should skip next 3 paragraphs.

Ocarina of Time spoilersCleared the Zora area, was a bit lost on how to get to the stone, but figured it out after running around for a bit. Got stuck in the dungeon though, couldn't figure out how to proceed. There were couple of switches but needed to put something on it or the door closes. Had to look it up that you have to talk to the Princess multiple times. Since majority of NPC don't change their dialogue, I didn't bother talking to her again after hearing her dialogue.

So, cleared the dungeon, got stuck again at finding "Ocarina of Time", then finally got the master sword, and found out that BotW wasn't the first time when Link slept for years, apparently it's a thing he do. Alo, Link got bigger! I didn't know about that, so that was surprising.

Now, I am again stuck at Karakiro Village, since the Sheik told me to go there, but can't figure out what to do. Impa was supposed to be at graveyard, but can't find it there. And have tried most buildings in the village and there isn't anything directing me where to go. There is obviously something under the well, but my bomb can't destroy it yet, so will come back to it later. Well, I am not stuck enough yet to look up what to do, going to see if I missed anything. Maybe will figure something out.

I was also playing Swords and Soldiers in small bursts. Finished it. It was a fun little game, and I'll recommend it if you like the genre. I have heard that second game is better in every way, so have added it to my wishlist. Sad to see that the studio has closed though.

Phew that went for a while 😀

So, what have you been playing lately? Or any game that you would like to recommend?

That's really sad. What's worse that Nintendo isn't the only one, apparently it happens a lot in the gaming industry.

Still playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, I am about 50 hours in, and I can see at least 20-30 hours more, maybe even 50, who knows. Still enjoying the game, so no complaints there.

Cleared the Goron Dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, got lost on my way to Zora domain. Found the way, but haven't reached it yet. Controls aren't much of an issue anymore, and didn't need any help until clearing the Goron Dungeon, though had to look up a bit because I got lost after that.

When looking up where to go next, I found out there are tons of collectables that I missed, got couple of them, but then thought I don't want to use guide to find these things, at least not in my first playthrough, and not before I have finished most of the game. So, left those, and did some exploring my own, and now getting ready to go to Zora domain.

During the week, when looking for a game to play in small bursts, resumed Swords and Soldiers, it's a 2D strategy / tower defense game. I started playing it a long time ago, but only did 15 out of 40 levels, so played some of the older levels to get the feel of it again and enjoying it now. I am at level 35 now. There are 4 campaigns, and each has 10 levels, so I am basically halfway through the last Campaign. Got a sudden difficulty spike so stuck for a bit, but plan to finally finish it now.

What about all of you? What have you playing lately?

So, I just remembered what I used to do with Game Boy Camera.

See this post

And I had an idea. What if Nintendo made a modern day cheap digital camera, in the same shape as a game boy camera, inside a game boy pocket.

But the camera is a modern camera. And the screen is in full color. You could shoot various movie scenes, and upload them to your switch. Where you have the "Mario Movie Suite". It's like Mario Paint, but sooooo much more.

Not a real game boy, btw. The whole unit is all one piece, so don't get excited that you can pull the camera and play games or put the camera in a different game boy. It's just astetics.

So you upload a movie you shot on your Game Boy Camera. Inside the movie suite on switch you can use a controller, or hook up a mouse and keyboard (non-propriatary, so these don't come with the package, but any mouse and/or keyboard will work. USB or bluetooth) to edit the videos. Then each edited scene can be placed in order.

While editing, you can put in special effects. You can use the audio editor to upload your own audio (maybe to add a music background, or special audio effects you've created). You can use the midi score to create your own music like in Mario Paint.

You can use premade animations, or draw your own.

And when you've finalized everything, the studio will save an MP4 on your memory card inside the switch that you can then transfer to a PC.

I feel like Nintendo, for all they care about creativity have REALLY been letting obvious ideas slip through the cracks.

They could even sell a $60 version of this software WITHOUT the peripheral, and you just use your cell phones camera. I think the more expensive version WITH the peripheral will be the real seller though. Even if I do think it'll cost $60 more.

God dammit.......now I got myself excited for software that isn't even being considered right now!!!

The lawsuit filed against Modded Hardware claims that Nintendo contacted Daly in March and threatened to sue him unless he stopped selling modded Switch consoles and MIG Switches (which enable pirated Switch games to be played on unmodded hardware).

According to Nintendo’s complaint, Daly agreed in March to stop selling the unauthorised devices, but continued to do so, claiming that he was looking for a new lawyer.

Nintendo therefore filed a complaint at a federal court in Seattle, accusing Daly of six charges including “trafficking in circumvention devices” and copyright infringement.

The lawsuit claims that Daly not only sold mods to customers, but also offered a mail-in service which enabled players to send in their Switch consoles and have them returned modded, often with pirated games installed.

“Defendant not only offers the hardware and firmware to create and play pirated games, but he also provides his customers with copies of pirated Nintendo games,” the platform holder’s complaint says.

“Typically, when a customer purchases a hacked console or the circumvention services, Defendant preinstalls on the console a portfolio of ready-to-play pirated games, including some of Nintendo’s most popular titles such as its Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid games.”

Nintendo is seeking financial damages from Daly, as well as the complete shutdown of his website. It also wants him “to deliver to NOA all circumvention devices, hacked consoles, and any other physical or digital copies of materials that infringe or violate any of NOA’s rights”.

“Defendant became a leading (if not the primary) moderator of the SwitchPirates Reddit community, which he helped grow to nearly 190,000 members,” Nintendo’s complaint says.

“Since 2019, Defendant has posted thousands of comments and messages to the SwitchPirates Reddit Group. Defendant’s posts have included, by way of example, messages directing users to the Pirate Shops […] and offering technical advice and encouragement to other users about how to use the Pirate Shops, how to download and install Circumvention Software, and how to play pirated copies of Nintendo Switch games.”

The complaint claims that Williams has been involved in three ‘pirate shops’ which have since been closed, and claims that a fourth is still active.

It also provides quotes of Williams stating on Reddit that he refuses to pay Nintendo money for its products.

“Defendant is well aware that his conduct is unlawful and infringes Nintendo’s intellectual property rights,” it says. “Indeed, Defendant has bragged publicly that he is a ‘pirate’ who ‘[isn’t] going to give Nintendo $50 for a game’.”

Highlighted Nintendo's quotes.
