The Vatican said on Friday that it had excommunicated Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the church’s former ambassador to the United States, after finding him guilty of schism for refusing to recognize the authority of Pope Francis and the liberal reforms enacted after the Second Vatican Council in the 1960s.

Archbishop Viganò has emerged as one of the most unbridled conservative critics of Francis, calling him in public statements a “false prophet” and a “servant of Satan,” while embracing right-wing conspiracy theories and lauding former President Donald J. Trump.

Though excommunicated, Archbishop Viganò will be able to keep his title, but he will not be allowed to celebrate Mass, receive or administer sacraments and hold official positions within the church’s hierarchy.

I agree that they've moved into the territory of mostly annoying, but getting rid of the fireworks is unlikely to reduce the cost of celebrations. they'll just be replaced with equally expensive drone shows and the like

so I've installed it but it's super confusing. the home screen is completely blank, long pressing on it does nothing. swiping up brings me the app tray, but long pressing on an app doesn't give me the option to add it to the home screen. where are the settings?

tl/dr: I would like an Android launcher that has an app search in the app tray, and the ability to see all of the apps in a folder regardless of number.

replacing Nova because it's been freezing more and more lately. Hyperion seems to meet most of my needs, but I can't figure out how to do an app search, even with the pro version, and it won't show me all of the apps that I have in a desktop folder if I have more than like five, and I need to be able to see them because I have ADHD.

I've got a Wi-Fi extender that I use when I'm working out back, but my phone will randomly connect to it when I'm in the house and would prefer it connect to the home Wi-Fi.

background play not working with streams only on one phone (lemm.ee)
 

so I've got a Google pixel 6, and a Google pixel 8. I exported the settings from revanced on the 6 and sent them to the 8. I've double checked that background play is turned on for everything, but background play doesn't work for live streams on my Google pixel 8. background play still works for normal videos, and the background play works for live streams on my Google pixel 6.

is there a setting I'm missing?

I want to send a thank you to a local government official. getting flowers delivered is like minimum $50 these days so fuck that. something like a gift card might be inappropriate for a government employee to accept.
