Millennials were born in the late 80s and through the 90s. 97/8 is the rough cutoff. Most of them are in their 30s now and the oldest are in their early 40s.

This article only covers typing, but younger gen z and gen alpha are (not at all to their blame) woefully bad at understanding technology. Even using their own devices, like the iphone, outside of a few dozen common apps can be challenging. Let alone desktop OSs, servers and things like printing.

I stress that I absolutely do not say this to call them dumb or ignorant. They have not been given other resources and were not raised on other kinds of tech. And as the article points out, older generations in administration and management positions falsely equate this "app savy" intelligence to tech ability. That is where the blame lies mostly not with the young teenagers and kids.

The article points to a concerning trend, well a couple actually.

One, companies are forgoing the pride, progressive, blm era fake support because they have crunched the numbers and realized that they don't need to pretend anymore. Target has cut back their support significantly, and these c-suites and shareholders realize they don't need to waste money pretending that they care. The times have shifted and a rise in right wing, fascist thinking worldwide has definitely emboldened them.

Secondly, the notion that queer liberals think that these companies ever gave two shits about them. Perhaps I'm misinterpreting the statistics and quotes in the article.

LGBTQ+ adults believe that companies can show support for the community by participating in the HRC's Corporate Equality Index and earning a perfect score (93.5 percent), donating money to LGBTQ+ nonprofits (93 percent), and sponsoring Pride events (87.7 percent) — all of which the above companies have recently reversed their support of>

The sooner the working class realizes that these companies never gave a rats ass about them to begin, and only pretended because in years past it was profitable to do so (at least in the US), the better off we will be. The radical attitudes of young people in 2020 have shriveled away into a vague American liberalism which believes the status quo is just fine.

Maybe I completely overreacted or my biases are reading for me. But when I see stuff like this, I feel this uneasy feeling. Open to responses and thoughts.

Yes. It's why here's there.

Notice how they put him as soon as Trump started denying project 25. Perhaps all bullshit for the public but maybe not all bs. The Heritage Foundation might have actually gotten a bit spooked and put in a good yes man like Vance.

Then don't. Why you gotta announce it??

This exactly. The destruction of third spaces under Reagan was either a genius move to radicalize lonely, isolated Americans or a hell of a coincidence that ended up helping the right.

I say it could be a coincidence because idk if Reagan's administration was looking quite that far ahead but... They were crafty and very intelligent people.

The reason you're finding articles about usb "hubs" (actually usb docks) with those features is because no one feels the need to spend time writing a guide on purchasing a simple device like a hub. A dock has more choice involved, more to consider in terms of connectivity, speed and other factors.

I would just look up "usb 3 hub" on amazon or wherever. That will give you a good speed. Though if you want to keep it cheaper and you only need it for wireless peripherals, then a usb 2 hub would most likely be fine for that. Just know that if you ever plug a usb or external drive into the hub, it will be limited to 500 megabytes per second, compared to the usb 3 at 10 gigabytes per second roughly.

You know the same thing was said with Beeper's imessage on Android pytorch success. "Apple won't be able to change this. They'd have to change the very nature of imessage itself to block this!" And then, two days later it was blocked completely so, as much as I would hope Google couldn't block FreeTube, don't expect such huge successes without tempering expectation.

Jdownloader is also good, as well as wget. If you're on Android, you can try Seal or 1DM.
