There are sides?!

I don't know anything about its effect on fertility. I know people who have conceived while on SSRIs, but that's purely anecdotal.

It's going to be a judgement call on your part. SSRIs have been in use for long enough that I would expect there's a big pool of data around fertility rates, even if it's not had much analysis done on it. Also, rat models are useful but need to be understood in their context. One study in rats is not overwhelming evidence.

Is this a side for a meal, or a dessert?

I've never attempted to make bagels before but these make me want to try.

I have been on SSRIs for 20 years. For me they're a good idea, but I've known others who have had a terrible time with them.

Sexual dysfunction is definitely a thing: how much of an issue that will be is going to be a personal decision on weighing up pros and cons. If your sex drive is low as a part of your depressive symptoms or you're already experiencing anhedonia (inability to feel happiness/pleasure) or anorgasmia (inability to achieve orgasm) then going on SSRIs isn't going to make that any worse. But for others the risk of missing sexual pleasure might be an unacceptable trade-off.

For anyone starting SSRIs I think it's best to go slowly and keep in touch with your primary doctor throughout the process. There are a number of SSRIs available, and if one doesn't work out you can try others, and hopefully land on one that works for you.

With all that said, SSRIs don't work for everyone. It's not unusual to feel weird or like things are getting worse when you first start them: it takes some time for the effects to settle. But if you're having a really bad time on them, speak to your doctor about alternatives.

Can't wait to see a black forest gateau salad.

This absolutely screams "I was zooted on lithium when I came up with this" 🫤

I love how fast and loose this plays with the definition of "salad".

Someone has unearthed two demos from the Pretty Hate Machine era: a demo of Sin and a studio version of Maybe Just Once. The only other version of Maybe Just Once is a "live in the studio" recording on the Purest Feeling bootleg, so this newly found version is especially interesting.

It's great to hear these demos, even if they're only 50 second clips.

No problem! It's basically a service for people to sell used clothing/items, but they have a very good delivery guarantee.

Do you have Vinted in your country? I've bought used vinyl through it and I'm really happy with the experience so far.

It's not dedicated to vinyl sales though and the availability of things you're looking for will be highly variable. But I picked up an original pressing of David Bowie - Low via Vinted for a fair price.

I like to think of this as "opium den metal".

The track "Reciting the Airships" on this makes everything stand still for me.

I'm looking for some industrial/electro-industrial with a "warm" sound to it... basically something like Boards of Canada but with more rhythmic and harsh percussion. Can anyone here recommend something that might fit?

This is one of my favourite albums. It's a bit of an odd one out in Novembre's discography: it's generally a bit softer, it features mostly clean vocals, and it generally sounds quite upbeat.

The standout track for me is Jules: it balances a melodic tenderness with an outro that makes you want to headbang and cry out with joy all at the same time. The whole album gives me a distinctly summery vibe: lazy days, the feeling of life stretching out ahead of you... all the possibilities it brings.

This album will always hold a special place for me.
