i can see my user but no feed in profile i can see questions from diff lemmy instance users but not from lemmy.ml also i did not recieve dm from lemmynsfw.com profile although i was able to put the asklemmy post in the bar and able to get it but there was no comment and after writing a comment it does not reflected on ml instance . seems like i will have to create 2 more accounts on every decentralised platfrom

if lemmy.ml blocks lemmynsfw.com and i create a account on lemmynsfw.com , Can i access lemmy.ml content ? including creating post , commenting and voting as this instance is for adult content and they have no reason to block any instance . Hence i will get all lemmy content

any instance you know ?? i tried beehaw but they did not created a account for me

I’m new to Lemmy and previously had an account on another instance (can’t recall which one), where I could see NSFW communities like those dedicated to adult content. However, after joining Lemmy.ml, I’ve noticed I can’t find or interact with those types of communities.

Can a Lemmy instance block its users from accessing specific communities or even entire instances that host such content ?

If so, is there a way to connect to those communities while staying on Lemmy.ml, or would I need to join a different instance ?

I’m just trying to understand how federation and instance rules work to make the most of the Fediverse.

Any insights would be super helpful—thanks in advance!

it can happen easily in future moreover like wireless earbud which can be dos as they use bluetooth which was not build as security in mind , if used in hot countries they can be easily blasted which is enough to kill someone considering the shards will go in the brain . so this can easily be replicated in electronic cars as well . though these earbud manufactures had brain and have a device in earbuds but sometimes that device can also fail , i never used a e car so dont know if they have some type of device in it . but i would love to see a experiment over this

i think its a propganda to destroy privacy like the one "police are public protector" only the high ups and they know what police means but the general public dont .

I recently started using Bluesky and noticed something interesting. Under the "Getting Started" section, it says things like "Teach our algorithm what you like." Bluesky is supposed to be decentralized, so why does it even have an algorithm? Isn’t the whole point of decentralization to avoid centralized control, including things like content algorithms? Is this algorithm centralized, or is it designed to run locally within the decentralized structure (like on individual servers)?
