Now most people live in democracies.

In the 2020 primaries the race was between the moderates and Bernie, why wouldn't she have felt comfortable being more progressive when Bernie was doing so well?

There are a lot of unprofitable startups that get purchased speculatively based on other factors like their user count. The idea being the buyer thinks they can monetize.

a lot of important and good things we can do for climate change like consuming less could make the GDP go down, so you know they'll panic and find ways to incentivize more consumption if so.

We need to get comfortable with economic degrowth.

Worker ownership over the economy doesn't just mean communism. There are various socialist and anarchist approaches as well, and like you say a spectrum in-between.

There are even capitalist compatible options like workers cooperatives or novel solutions like mandating unions and union participation on the board.

I didn't say we need to implement communism, you did. But I'm down!

So the US pulls out knowing what will happen but then also don't want the new government to have any money since they'll misuse it, feels like the US is also fucking the Afghani people over at least a little bit?

What are they supposed to do?
