We have: "Nach fest kommt ab"

The phrase "Nach fest kommt ab" is a German saying that translates to "After tight comes off" in English. It's typically used to describe the idea that if you tighten something too much (like a screw), it will eventually break or come loose. It’s often used to remind people to not overdo things.

He is probably already dead.

I have the Sony 35mm 1.8 and the Sony 70-200mm 4 which I really like as a combination too. Especially the 35mm for vloging with the flip out screen and street photography.

Yeah a alternative launcher is the way to go, I use FL launcher but it's similar. And what I like about android on the TV is that you at least get access to the system via adb and can turn off some things like the default launcher.

Sony A7C because I use it for travel and especially video.

Favorite subject right now is my 19 months old :D

Are there RISC V Laptops available on the market? And I wonder how many of my daily apps would run on it. I guess the most important would be a browser.

Yes it does because as far as I remember I disabled the default launcher with help of adb: https://www.gearrice.com/update/how-to-change-launcher-on-android-tv-and-which-ones-are-the-best/

I am using a Chromecast ultra 4k and I replaced the launcher with one which doesn't shown anything but the apps I want it to show in a grid: FLauncher

And then I can use it with the remote as usual for Netflix and all the other apps. It's quite nice doesn't stutter or anything.

I also replaced the YouTube app with the SmartTube one to get rid of sponsors and advertisements in videos.

I'm mostly interested in the original flavors. I remember drinking some as a child in Poland and so does my partner when she was a child in China.

Thanks for the recipe, that sounds doable if I can find the rye bread somewhere here in a korea.

How have you been burned? In any practical way?

This Lundluke got seems to be some kind of Qanon person.

Every now and then I see someone on YouTube wonder how it can be that the streets and sidewalks here in Korea are so clean while there are no public trashcans available. The secret is: Old people.

Let me explain, every morning when I go to the daycare with my son I see between 5 and 10 elderly people walk along the street with their yellow vests - which say "Pangyo Senior Welfare Center" on their back - and pick up all the trash. I guess this is some kind of a thing they do to keep them engaged and moving.

I speak Polish, German, Swedish and English. 3 of them are Germanic languages so they were easy to learn because they are so closely related. Polish and German I learned as a child so it was kind of automatic.

Now I have to learn Korean and struggle so much! After 3 months I have learned about 100 words. Any tips how to get to the first 1000 words Ina reasonable time? Especially in a language where none of the words seem to resamle anything from my previous languages.

I moved from Sweden to Korea almost four years ago. Today is midsummer in Sweden. I bought the things I could get here to make some food so we could celebrate it.

We listened to Swedish music and danced, etc. It was a lot of fun.

  • Salmon
  • Toast Skagen
  • fresh potatoes
  • Danish beer
  • Sommersby cider
  • Absolut Vodka
  • strawberries with whipped cream

But those are the days where you miss your old friends the most.

Anyway, happy midsummer everyone!

It looks very labor intensive. 2 guys cutting, 2 guys holding up this big cloth so the grass would not fly on the street and one guy with the leaf blower trying to blow the grass from the sidewalk.

Do they hold up those big cloths to shield the street from the grass in your country too?

TLDR: The main reason was Lemmy hogging server resources.

Last year, during the Reddit 2023 API controversy I finally deleted my account and moved on to Lemmy. Here’s a look at my experiences and why I eventually decided to switch to PieFed.

We went outside with another couple and their daughter. She found this nice stick but my son wanted to have it. They fought a bit pulling on the stick and I guess the 3 years old decided that she will be the bigger person and let my 15 month old have the stick.

It's very straight and dry. He kept it almost all the way to home. But sadly lost it once he became too tired to walk. I was walking behind him and took it with us for a while but decided to put it down in a good place so someone else could find it and also have some fun with it.

... It's how often you have to get up from where you're sitting. It's unbelievable.

I personally don't think Korean food is overly spicy, it's just that I don't like this specific kind of spicy from the chili flakes. Somehow they are in 80% of the Korean food.
