Whatever doesn't kill you makes you numb and traumatized, not stronger. Big difference.

Tech is just the most visible industry right now. Look at any other major corporations and you'll find the same.

Alcohol, yes, but with marijuana, since the substance they test for stays in your system for a long time, no. Though the argument has always been that it's illegal and so more serious. And technically it's still illegal at the federal level, so o guess technically that's true, but the federal government doesn't often enforce it and in several states it's legalized. If it ever gets legalized at the federal level and they still do hair tests instead of blood tests, though, I don't see how they can justify that.

But in reality, pretty much the only people who get punished for marijuana use are either minorities or someone being targeted for something else they did and weed is just an easy excuse to fire them, put them in for-profit prisons, murder them legally, etc.

But Trump believes that all executive branch employees are directly reportable to him and he forced out and refused to replace many employees. Also, there is Schedule F. Trump didn't have enough time to fully implement it the first time. This removed employees are n "confidential, policy-determining, policy-making or policy-advocating" positions from the General Schedule. Meaning they were political appointees going forward. Biden rescinded it immediately so it never got used, but it will be reimplemented.

With that, he has the power to implement almost anything without oversight. When he implements his tariffs for example, and other countries retaliate with their own, the value of American goods will plummet since they'll be way more expensive. This will reduce trade and thus the value of the currency. And no amount of tweaks to interest rates will stop that.

Sure he can't print money, but the reliability ratings of US debt are already declining due to the fights over the debt ceiling, and Trump supports that fight and doesn't believe that the US should have to pay those debts because of the investments we've made. Simply blocking those payments could tank the currency. There are tons of ways if there's no legal consequences and most employees are replaced with his loyalists.

Yeah, too bad the punishment for driving without a license isn't that severe, so she probably will do it. Unfortunately, driving is a necessity for many people, just to get by.

A politician should not be allowed to own something they have the explicit power to artificially inflate the value of. For the president, that's all businesses.

As for currency, again, the president has the ability to crash the value of the American currency and drive people to his currency in order to artificially inflate it. Sacrificing an entire global economy for personal gain should not be possible.

But not only is it possible, now with the recent Supreme Court ruling, he'd be immune to prosecution for doing it, so why wouldn't he do it?

Likely that email or a previous email you clicked on was a phishing attack and when you logged in you gave them your password. And if you used that password anywhere else, you let them into those accounts as well. Make sure to check the links in emails are actually pointing to the expected web address and never click through warnings about SSL certificates being invalid. Better yet, never click on email links. Go into your web browser and type in the address manually. And use a password manager with unique, random passwords for every website and use a strong password and a 2FA method that requires access to a physical object or biometrics (cell phone text messages don't count as a physical object). If you still have trouble then it could be that your 2FA method is compromised. If you're using a cell phone, for example, it's possible your neighborhood is the target of a stingray or similar device that mimics a cell tower. Turn off 2G if you can. But even then, that only eliminates a subset of the devices. Get a yubikey or use other, more secure, 2FA methods and be sure to disable the less secure 2FA methods, because you're only as secure as the least secure one.

OXO quality has tanked over the last 15 or 20 years since Helen of Troy bought them who source all of their products from Mexico and China using shady subcontractors. They had a lot of innovative designs when they started out, but don't really invest in that anymore.

Knipex on the other hand is still pretty solid on quality. They're still family managed and their manufacturing employees are primarily union workers, so they're able to keep the skilled workers around.

Can confirm. They're not commercial grade kind of quality, but they are some of the best consumer grade right now, mostly because they use fewer plastic parts than most and good quality steel. Though they still use too much plastic in things that would be better served by lower grade metals or glass.

I also have an espresso machine, coffee grinder, and toaster oven that I've had for ages and never needed new parts. I also have an all stainless french press that is really sturdy, but because the shape isn't perfect, the rod for the press needed to be replaced once since it requires a lot more pressure than it should to use it. But even with that defect, it has lasted nearly 15 years, and I only replaced the rod and filter once.

Because then they're told they're weak...

But then when he does it in front of his girlfriend, he's being unfaithful. But if he doesn't express interest in other women then his opinion on his partner's hotness doesn't matter because he must not be into women or he's not macho enough since macho people are supposed to ogle women.

God I'm glad I'm not closeted anymore...(I'm polyamorous, agender, and pansexual).

Looking for an invite for DrunkenSlug. Thanks in advance if you have one to spare!
