Yeah, it's sort of a failure of their education system that these people can't put 2 and 2 together. I really hope they're smart enough not to FAFO on a referendum, but the fact that Smith keeps pushing for it is a big deal.

I believe that she could stir up enough fervor that the province votes to leave because they're high on false promises. If they do, there's no "take-backsies." It's a one-way ticket out of the country no matter how many people suffer for it.

Eat shit, Doug. We're not an autocracy or a dictatorship. You should know that since you've (unfortunately) done this fucking job before.

On Wednesday, Ford dismissed the idea of judicial independence and denounced judges who he sees as not tough enough on crime.

"You know something, that's a joke as far as I'm concerned," he said. "There's no judge appointed anywhere in this country, anywhere in the United States, anywhere in the world, that's not a political appointment. Simple as that. You think these judges just come out of the blue?

Then why do you sound so surprised/angry that these judges, who were appointed by another party, don't just vibe with everything you do? Obviously, you just want to be able to move around/fire these judges so they're not inconvenient for you. That's despotism.

What year was that? I was in high school from 2009 to 2013 and I got sent a lot of photos. It really never occurred to me to share them with anyone else because they were private, but yeah.

I'm sort of hoping they do leave just because they don't seem to understand that they are an economically weak province outside of oil. All of their eggs are in one basket and they think that, because it's a lucrative basket, it makes them important and powerful. It doesn't. The point of our confederation is that we, together, are strong in a wide variety of industries.

Danielle Smith is going to find out very quickly that she and Alberta need the rest of Canada a lot more than Canada needs Alberta. Also, say goodbye to your CPP, OAS, and EI contributions. The impact on schools, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, food safety, and road regulations alone are significant cause for concern. I guess she just doesn't care whether Albertans are safe, educated, and healthy, she only cares about oil.

The Bloc Quebecois and the NDP both took 6.3 per cent of the vote, and will hold 22 and seven seats, respectively.

Our electoral system is fundamentally misrepresentative by design. We desperately need proportional representation.

I like Busuu. But like Duolingo, using it by itself isn't a good idea; you need to study grammar and vocabulary separately to learn at a decent pace.

Busuu's best feature is its community corrections from native speakers, but they've been nerfed a lot in the past decade. You can still get something out of it though, just don't pay for premium (even on sale) because it's not really worth it.

Thanks for finally doing the right thing, Jagmeet! It only took your complete and utter defeat and losing official party status... but I guess it's better late than never. (Please elect a socialist leader now.)

I want to add, for OP and others' sake, that you don't need to add all of your Steam games to Lutris/Heroic/whatever in order to play them. This step (enabling Proton) is all you should need.

Okay, well a national entity of some kind is the one issuing these certificates, from my understanding. If you lived in Scotland, it would be issued by the government of Scotland. In my country, we use the term federal because we are a confederation.

is it illegal to use a single serve wrapped slice of Kraft cheese as a postcard?

It is literally a question of making a postcard.

It'll be all torn up inside one of the machines, probably rip open the package and create a bunch of plastic shreds, and ruin the day of one of their equipment technicians. USPS is not easy on lettermail, their equipment manhandles it.

Just use the back of a cereal box or something.

You're not being secretive for no reason. You're being secretive to avoid harassment from someone you care about. Seems like they don't really return the favour, they just make fun of you.
