I have a lot of friends on Twitter who are now migrating to Threads. They are not going to come to the Fediverse no matter how much I annoy them. Federating with Threads will allow me to interact with them.
Also if the Fediverse works with Threads, a few of those people might come over.
It also makes you realize that all this pronoun craziness is silly and unimportant. There are much more important things demanding our attention. Pronoun battles are a first world problem.
My native language does not have gendered pronouns. It makes the language simpler and more efficient.

Die AfD ist wegen der wirtschaftlichen Katastrophe im Aufwind. Die Wirtschaft ist so schlecht wegen des Krieges. Der Krieg muss beendet werden, damit der Aufstieg der AfD gestoppt werden kann.
