I made friends with this person I met online in a game, spent the evening gaming together. Changed my life forever

Fair, I'm not convinced I do need that layer.

I guess if people are into films as a topic, or even a specific film, then that'd be interesting.

Not for me.

The trouble with Gaydar, especially in unsafe places is that people learn to fly under it, or develop stealth capabilities.

Even where people don't have to do that, there's always some who don't set off a ping for me!

Yeah, I think Samsung's app has been able to do this for years.

Or if I was smarter I'd write a joke that made more sense..no one is coming out of this conversation looking good today.

Ultimately, all international diplomacy is about sea dicks

Stop discriminating then, see the sexiness in the servers, the horniness in the harddrive.

I've known a dozen or so Danes, and I'd say 8-10 is more typical.

Just make sure they rest after eating and they'll be happy a long time.

Total War:Warhammer series has taken up a lot of my time. I suggest Modding it to suit your play style and desired level of challenge.

Darktide, and vermintide, as others have mentioned if you prefer action to turn based.

Dawn of War series are all good games. The second one in coop mode is excellent.

Spacemarine is an instant classic.

I'd skip Gladius. It's good, it's fine. Its a cheap copy of better games with a warhammer skin over it.

The internet has made a lot of people armchair experts happy to offer their perspective with a degree of certainty, without doing the work to identify gaps in their knowledge. Often the mark of genuine expertise is knowing the limitations of your knowledge.

This isn't a social media thing exclusively of course, I've met it in the real world too.

When I worked as a repair technician, members of the public would ask me for my diagnosis of faults and then debate them with me.

I've dedicated the second half of my life to understanding people and how they work, in this field it's even worse because everyone has opinions on that topic!

And yet my friend who has a physics PhD doesn't endure people explaining why his theories about battery tech are incorrect because of an article they read or an anecdote from someone's past.

So I'm curious, do some fields experience this more than others?

If you have a field of expertise do you find people love to debate you without taking into account the gulf of awareness, skills and knowledge?
