Ooh watched an AutoPulse one!

AutoPulse looks almost Star Trek. Very sleek and usable. It looks so unassuming when they pull it out, then it makes that chest COMPRESS. I'm aware that you have to press hard enough to get the ribcage moving, but I was not prepared for such an unassuming device to have that much force. I can see them slipping a vest onto someone in star trek that pumps their heart and helps carry them to sick bay.

Lucas is more star wars. It looks like a rib cracker.

So I think I'd prefer an auto pulse XD

I may become a Linux boy once windows 10 is EOL.

The enshittification of Windows seems to be accelerating at a crazy rate. Haven't used linux in like 15 years when I tried using uBuntu, and I've heard it's only grown exponentially better.

The change in cell phones is truly unreal.

Just really hope the cell phone software catches up and is less trash as time goes on.

I will use the sidewalk when approaching a busy high speed intersection so I can cross as a pedestrian using the cross walk. These are always larger sidewalks and I slow down a ton so I haven't had any problems and seems like what the bikers do.

Otherwise I am in the bike lane/bike path/gutter/road. For places I go to a lot I've found routes that are mostly along non busy roads where it's more chill. Where I am the rules are just the same as for bikes. I have considered ebikes, since the range on those are comically long.

Easier management of potentially deadly medical conditions is super exciting!

Just looked this up and found Lucas.

That looks straight up from Scifi, that is amazing.

My battery loving bro!

Advancement in batteries really did change so much.

I'm a libreoffice user myself and I forget I have the "replacement" most days. The entire suite feels great these days.

Oh true! Which is also why my scooter is so powerful for the price.

20 miles on a charge on a device I bought for $400? Absurd.

Oh yeah I used to look at thingiverse all the time! Looking at it now it's obvious that the skill of both designers making stuff for 3d printers and the quality of 3d printers has jumped a lot since I joined. Since most of the top stuff for last year have integrated hinges/joints, which are so satisfying.

Boys will be boys got me giggling pretty hard.

I will accept 3k subs, but you’re on thin ice!

2k videos and 500 subs?

Dear goodness that man is dedicated.

c/fitandnatural and c/mmababes are the two that show up on my local a lot... and like I COULD block them.

But... I clearly haven't.

If you played it in the past you might be interested to see that AOE2 community is doing great, and see one of the crazy players that are part of the community.

This particular player found a way to do absurd things with a unit no one else cares about.

The TLDR about the unit is compared to other castle age (age 3) units, it sucks. In age 2, it sucks compared to other age 2 units. It's a unique unit (so only one civilization can make it) with weird mechanics, but considered worthless. It

It is unique in that it can be built in feudal age. But it has a very weird quirk where nothing in feudal age can do any noticeable harm to its castle age version, and as soon as you hit castle age, it gets its instant upgrade. Archers are considered the counter to infantry units, but they deal one damage a hit if the unit is in castle age.

So this player simply made a strategy that ignores everything else in the game to get a handful of these castle age guys to your base ASAP. Hilarity ensues.

The sidewalks are really dangerous where I am, where they are super uneven, have "artistic" curves, and trees that are overhanging really low so like will hit my body.

I go max 15 MPH on my escooter and if I hear a ding ding I jump onto the sidewalk and go a bit slower until you guys pass, since I'm slower and can dismount easier it only makes sense for me to make room. I figure as long as I make room it "shouldn't" be a problem.

But just wondering if there are any bike riders that are just like shaking their fist at escooter riders.

EDIT: USA!

At my work just all me and my fellow techs in a meeting we basically expressed shared frustration at wages not increasing at all in last couple years despite the company making billions.

It appears we were all individually expressing this and it boiled over cause nothing was being done.

So are there any organizations collecting signatures or potential members with the goal of forming one later?

My two:

Very cliché, I played Ocarina of Time a ton as a child, have memories of playing it both on N64 as a wee child and on game cube as a less small child. Never got past water temple even with the game guide.

Yu-Gi-Oh forbidden memories. Played the crap out of that game on play station, constantly playing on free play praying for the cards I would need to get further. I was never able to beat more than 1-2 of the high mages. Watching speed runs on the game it turns out I was never ever going to beat that game as a kid. The final 6 are just disgustingly brutal.

I know I'm supposed to want it to keep going up as a wealth generator or whatever.

But like... I wouldn't be able to afford the monthly payments if I bought my house right now and it's scary. Also none of my friends are buying homes, none of them are even renting full places. Just like renting rooms.

So what are your feelings home owners of lemmy?

I'm a support engineer for dental software. So difficult issues won't get immediate resolutions, and instead development will actually have to fix things because offices will be crying at them for a fix instead of at me.

But the world won't end.
