Yes. Next question.

A common and very easy mistake to make...

So can they stream live footage of tortured children from the anti-gay conversion camps they help fund? Maybe make people think twice about buying food there?

Well, she had checked out, in a way.

There are a few car specific forums still running vBulletin that I pop the blocker off for. E.g, cb7tuner.com. They use unobtrusive banners on the top and bottom of the page and I do want to support them. Those are the only exceptions though.

Build out, cash out, blow out!

The main problem now is that Ars Technica and all other Conde Nast publications, with it now having a vested interest in openAI (they're getting paid by them), can no longer be reliably trusted to report on any AI or AI-adjacent topic whatsoever. And every user comment and content is now owned by openAI.

Spread rumor that Ukraine wants to start a second chernobyl. Take ownership of one of ukraines plants (Zaphohria). Destroy the plant through sheer incompetence and active sabotage. Blame Ukraine when they weren't in control of it and would not want to ruin their own infrastructure.

Obvious propaganda war is obvious, and par for the course on putin's watch.

Well, m.2 slots (both sata and epcie) typically only provide 3.3 volt power. Standalone 2.5" sata SSD's require a 5 volt supply. Obviously there's a bit of a mismatch there. So you'll likely need to find your power from a difference source like a USB port or the internal power supply.

That adapter image is a data adapter, most likely for straight-thru msata connections, and is probably what you need. but 2.5" SSD's also require the wide 15 pin power connector in addition to the small data connector and that power has to come from something that is not the m.2 slot.

Get fucked, intuit!

I'm in the market for a new monitor. My 32" LCD is nice but now I have some spending money and really want to move up to an OLED display, as they seem to be maturing nicely and can give me an amazing bump in refresh rate.

Many OLED displays are curved, of course. All ultrawides are, some severely so (800r!!!)
I've always shied away from curved monitors because I feel like it could distort the appearance of some solid/2d geometry vs a flat panel. (I'm also not crazy about the desk space they occupy either, but I can work around that).

Do any of you use CAD packages (solidworks, inventor, autocad) on curved monitors, and if so how well does it appear? My target would be a 34" or 42" 4k display.

It was nice knowing Raspberry Pi while they lasted. Going to suck losing something that has changed the homegrown embedded system hobby forever.

Context for the inexperienced: these are cone seat GM lugnuts, the cone portion is supposed to face IN towards the wheel as they are self centering, not OUT... guy didn't know wtf he was doin

Firefox latest on Android 14, web front-end

Images seem to work fine now after the 19.4 upgrade.
Except when posting images via direct upload. I've tried to post an image with body description a couple times now to another community and as soon as I hit submit, it just instantly removes the image and doesn't post anything, leaving me on the create post page.

Edit: Pretty sure this is a front end bug as I had to hit submit twice to make this post. When you hit submit it jumps to the top of the page first.
