I usually try not to be negative but this just doesn't "feel" like Lord of the Rings. Also showing clips of the LOTR films in the beginning is just weird. The animation looks solid even if I don't think the overly Anime character design works for Tolkien's world.

As a fan of Tolkien it is also kind of funny to me that the focus is on the daughter of one of the coolest characters in the books. A daughter that isn't even named.

Woah that's crazy. Love Death and Robots but for video games. And am I right to think all 15 episodes are by Blur Studio?

I agree Silo was amazing but just fyi, this community is focused on animation and animated media. Thanks

5 episodes into the nw Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which is a spinoff of last years Mutant Mayhem movie and it's a pretty solid show. I like that it focuses more on the individual brothers separate from the group to help flesh them out a little bit. The 2D animation is pretty solid. I think they managed to replicate a lot of the vibe of the movie's CGI. Keeping the movie's voice cast for the turtles and April was excellent. My gripes are that so far the main plot isn't super engaging and I find the show to just not be as funny as the movie. The music is also just whatever.

Damn this was really cool. Not the biggest fan of the art style but the animation was solid and really liked the tone and plot setup.

It was cancelled before it could have a proper ending. Apparently a bunch more had already been written beyond the 20 that aired.

Having said that it was a fun show from what I remember with some great character designs. A lot of "monster of the week" episodes if that's your style.

Had an older 65 inch 1080p tv that died. So now we watch on my 32 inch 4k monitor. Using a pair of iLoud Micro speakers.

Will eventually get a new TV and proper sound setup.

I know most people here will be fine with pirating and most of these shows and movies will not actually be lost. But as this thread proves, even modern shows can be lost. And there are 2 things here I find especially sad:

  1. As mentioned in the article the CN website had a lot of digital games. I think most of them will be lost. This is something we've seen a lot throughout the history of web based games.

  2. "I’m more frustrated at the continued removal of online spaces for kids. It leads to them going to media spaces for adults, and that never ends well." from This reddit comment.

Hajime no Ippo was great. The manga is still on going apparently.
