DS9 5x24 Empok Nor - spooky "abandoned" station exploration in order to get some desperately needed spare parts for the station

6 hours of that. I don't think I could even stomach watching the clips/highlights from this one.

If he's a clown, he's like Kefka. A little mad, a little genius, and a little bit…off.

You could even ask Taylor Swift if she'd be okay with it.

On the other hand, journalists are among the most informed and aware professionals out there, and these endorsements are part of their editorials, not part of their factual articles. By making an endorsement, the editorials board is sharing a perspective, and perhaps that should be a lens through which to understand their reporting. That's up to the individual reader - on that note however, I'm concerned about how blurry readers have become on news articles vs. opinions. Fox News has been the vanguard on that, and the rest of the internet was quick to follow.

Nevertheless, I think sharing an editorial perspective as a news organization is better than Supreme Court Justices pretending to be unbiased during their Senate confirmation hearings.

I…thought it was to make the trolley problem a little more difficult to resolve.

Is there a better way to share a toot from Mastodon?

Let me know if this gets annoying. He's probably going to live in here for the time being. Hopefully not causing too much mischief. A little is ok.

I picked up a couple of these fans for my home, and after some initial setup quirks, they're working reliably with Matter and HomeKit. HomeKit lets you adjust fan speed and oscillation; you cannot adjust the oscillation angles. These fans can push a lot of air if you want, and on lower settings they're totally silent while still providing a pleasant breeze.

Folks are discussing it on that other site, but since I don't use it, I wanted to post some things here. Hopefully so DDG/Google/Bing can still find useful results. Someone can link Redditors to here if they want:

  • Pairing and control (when not responsive): Any HomeKit pairing and control issues could be because the Govee app cannot be open or running at the same time. I have to force quit the Govee app on my phone in order to get it to relinquish control to HomeKit. I hope Govee figures out how to remove this limitation, but I don't use their app so I don't care too much.
  • Hard reset instructions: The Reddit thread (and Govee website!) have it wrong. To reset the device, you have to hold the Mode and Timer buttons for 5 seconds. This is mentioned on a little paper insert they included with the fan.

Alternate title: The trial never ends, even when nature calls.

ETA: if folks can't tell, this is an EXO-6 figurine I own. I welcome other ideas for funny pictures to take with him.

Idaho bar celebrates "Heterosexual Awesomeness Month" with free beer for straight men

I found this a few days back. I did this in art class 26 years ago...

Seems like a pretty good haul to me.

The slices are pretty wide even if they're short. Everything was cold but my toaster oven brought it back to life perfectly. Yummy and a good value. Would buy again!
