The issue is with regenerative braking and single pedal operation of EVs. Many vehicles today will essentially brake if you aren't on the accelerator.

Personally, I think it's a gap in design/regulation. But not as simple as brake pedals.

This isn't a life hack. Pockets are intentionally sewn shut for the manufacturing and shipping process. You are supposed to open them when you buy them.

Unfortunately, if a politician is trying to undermine that democracy, disenfranchise citizens, and break the checks and balances system, then democracy itself might not be enough to save democracy.

Democracy only works if the other side is fighting fair.

Stop making him out to be a martyr before anything happens to him. By repeating the rhetoric that "he'll be a martyr" you are preemptively saying that we can't do anything about it. He needs to have consequences for his actions and not just a refusal to hold him accountable because he'll "be a martyr."

Stop saying "he'll be a martyr."

This gets touted any time any consequence could come to him. Saying this makes it a lose lose situation. Either we let him get away and do whatever or "he's a martyr." No. He reaps whatever consequences come to him for his actions. It shouldn't come as an assassination, but he has to have some consequence for what he does.

"they don't sell"

So why even try? No matter that there isn't a similar game to even compare how well it sells to.

A good game, regardless of whether it's in the current trend WILL sell.

If all you do is look at what is currently selling, you'll miss the gaps where an entire group is waiting to spend their money should something good fill it.

Luca sucked, turning red had positive reviews but wasn't memorable, Coco had some great songs and some staying power, encanto rode high on Lin Manuel Miranda's lyrics, and Moana was strong.

Strange worlds fell flat, Elemental failed, Wish flopped, Lightyear was a let down, Raya and the Last Dragon was only "fine", and Rons Gone Wrong was forgettable, but mostly good.

Not to mention their live action failures.

"As if the creative future of the Western entertainment industry wasn’t already looking dire enough to begin with, Disney CEO Bob Iger has announced that, in an ostensible attempt to net the company a win after a string of back-to-back-to-back-to-back losses, the foreseeable future will see the House of Mouse turning away from original works in favor of producing easily marketable sequels."

https://boundingintocomics.com/2024/05/07/disney-ceo-bob-iger-reveals-company-now-dedicating-itself-to-sequels-over-original-productions-theyre-known-and-it-takes-less-in-terms-of-marketing/

It's eerily reminiscent of the Disney era of direct to VHS sequels that almost killed the company.

I hate the idea of going all in on IP they have versus original entertainment. The biggest attractions at Disneyland were original (jungle cruise, pirates of the Caribbean, the haunted mansion.)

As a former Disneyland park cast member, imo they have lost their way and what made them iconic storytellers. Leaderships has lost its creative edge and is writing films by committee. They want a culturally significant film they can virtue signal with and are trying to force it from the boardroom instead of hiring and encouraging diverse writers and giving them the freedom to tell their story.

You're totally right. Dunno why my brain went there thinking it was NYC. My bad.

Because they are pushing a narrative. They aren't being honest that no one is prepared to take over, no one else has been campaigning. Even if people wanted a replacement, there isn't one ready to take on the mantle.

They are intentionally sowing discord.

In general, loitering is hanging out "with intent to commit a crime." If you aren't planning to commit a crime, you aren't loitering.

Whoever goes to HR first is usually the de facto winner. Sure, there might be an investigation. But they got their side of the story in first.
