Iain Banks was a prophet!

If you're talking about de(hypo)sensibilization, then it does not work. At least not reliably and permanently. Been through it as a kid when it was the newest and hottest thing. Five years later after evaluation of long term data I got an excuse from my doctor and found out that general health insurance in Germany wasn't covering it anymore and the allergologic's associaton was not recommending it. That's about as close to an official, big, red "scam!" sign as at gets.

Heart Of Glass - I remember when it was the big summer hit... in 1976(?). The earliest summer hit I remember at all.

Maul halten! Wegtreten!

I was later reprimanded for saying I wouldn't help people.

I've heard that before. "No. I won't close the circuit breaker while you're holding the wires." "Boss!..."

Holy smokes. That must have been before 1989 (that's when RFC1094 was released, explicitely prohibiting to map the root user to UID 0). I thought, I was old...

...sure. 'cos I don't know a digital pitch shifter when I hear and see one. Dream on, be a rebel buy more crap from major labels and don't forget: Every word the music industry tells you is the truth.

This one massively collided with the average social media victim's absurdity filter, it seems. On reddit it most likely would have got you banned. People tend to destroy, hate or ban what they don't understand...

The whole vanity publishing industry works like that. Yes, there is such an industry. There's a highly accurate, slightly satiric and utterly confusing book about it, named "Il pendolo de Foucault" by Umberto Eco. (Probably something like "Foucault's Pendulum" in English). If it weren't that excessively long and the plot less complex I'd highly recommend it.

Who in the world is shooting stones? Well, they'll hold still at least, I think.

You can find the original. highly recommendable movie at archive.org
I originally created the loop for a VJ set. I hope the uploaded webp will be looped in anyone's browser... or most of the weirdly satisfying effect will be missing.

*Edit: * Now it should loop. I told ffmpg to.
Edit 2: Ha-ha... You need to untick "pre-process" when uploading, too.

For all the admirers of the SUN. There seem to be a few as I noticed by the comments on my previous post. There might be some to follow, I just have to export the right pics from shotwell...

Silicon Graphics Indigo 2 MIPS running IRIX. Quite a beast back in the days.
