I wonder how much she got for her spine?

[–] athairmor@lemmy.world 10 points 15 hours ago

It’s useless hyperbole.

She works for the US government and manages the transfer of arms. That’s not an ‘arms dealer’ which is a private, profit-driven trade in arms.

She might be able to afford better security than the Secret Service.

They’re going to lose the incel gamer crowd if they keep portraying her like this.

And they’ll be surprised that people cancel after the trial because they couldn’t find any porn.

No way that truck can tow solid bronze of that size. It’s got to be plastic or painted styrofoam.

I’m guessing Elon because it’s pulled by one of those stupid trucks.

Alcohol is a depressant but that doesn’t mean it makes you psychologically depressed. It means it depresses your central nervous system—less anxiety, slower brain function and more.

Now, it may make your particular depression worse. But, when a chemical is called a depressant it doesn’t mean it makes people depressed.

They don’t have or want to take Russia as a whole or even significant part. If they push the frontline east into Russia they may force Russia to give up control of parts of Ukraine in order to defend.

If they do this enough, they can start negotiating trade of land. If Putin refuses to trade Russian land for Russian-occupied Ukraine, it won’t look good to Russians.

I love how it’s called ´Sapphires’ and there is one gem in the painting. There is blue in the curtain, in the dress, in the turban and, very subtly, in the eyes. The little bit of orange in her hand and the turban set them all off nicely. The gem only barely stands out as brighter than the other blues. The eyes, though so subtle, make me think they might be the real reason for the title.

How would statues enhance any of the discussions you suggest?
