One type of irreparable damage that could occur to the USA as a result of mass deportations could be reputational or our morality therefore these two questions are not independent of each other.

I'm not actually saying it's ethical, and I referred to it being a shell game. I wasn't talking about shell companies. Awesome meme though great job! πŸ‘

I sort of agree with you that you can only become a billionaire by stealing someone else's money, but in this case I think your argument is kind of bad.

If Yahoo overpaid, it's not the employees of his own company that Cuban took the money from, but rather indirectly from Yahoo's employees (former and current up to that point).

I also have to say, as far as ethics goes, there is enough indirection there that unless you were a dyed in the wool communist you would have problems finding fault with it. The shell game sufficiently blurred where the capital originally came from and it looks more like winning the lottery than exploiting your employees to the people receiving the big paychecks.

Similar things can be said about venture capital recipients. They get money, and obviously it's money that the people who gave it to them did not do sufficient work for them to have gotten it themselves, but the source of that money is so convoluted that it might as well be gambling profits.

Now they're defiant? I thought the whole thing was that they were the silent majority or some bullshit.

I knew serial conman Trump couldn't resist getting involved in crypto which is one of the biggest cons of all time.

I agree with you that scrutiny for public office holders is a necessary part of the process.

However, the angle of scrutiny is what is strange to me. I understand their position in that they definitely are grubby little terminally online weirdos but desperately want to escape being characterized as such and so they're looking for ways to squirm out of it...but their attempts are also weird.

I don't find that anecdote weird, but I do find searching through the life events of some politician to find things to signify that he's weird to be creepy and fucking weird.

But that's par for the course for you, Chuckie, you fucking balloon headed weirdo. Get a real job you mutant potato.

It's Kid A for me because not only was that my intro to the band, but also because it was so unexpected when it was released, was hated by a lot of their long-term fans that wanted another guitar centered rock act, and it set the band (and to an extent the genre) in a completely new direction.

One of my favorite things was Thom Yorke, when asked about how he felt about bands that were copying OK Computer said: Good luck with Kid A.

Personally, I liked the joke about him talking about Hannibal Lector more.

This is trains but worse. The HOV lane also does not do much for traffic. It's slightly less miserable to sit through a traffic jam at times, but often is similar speed wise to a regular lane.
