I finally took the time to re-install a local version of SD after changing PC in the spring, so I have now my own comfyUI rather than an online version (tbh, getimg.ai provides a good service for the price) So I tried something simple to test comfyUI, and here it is. !

Where do you start from? You're on lemmy, most likely work in tech but are too leftist to get promoted, to the drive a Tesla and get stock option paygrade

If you enjoy your job, and get enough income struggle to fulfill your basic needs, more money is just some extra comfort. Sure you could spend you holiday in a hotel rather than a camping and get designer furnitures rather than IKEA one. You could finally have the free room in you house to set up a lab.

So compared to people who don't even reach the (full time) minimal wage, you are way in advance.

Most rich people don't have such an extravagant lifestyle. And many people who show off areren't that rich( they could become if they stop getting debt and showing off)

Nice, I`ll check it out, feel somehow frustrated to have forgotten all these stuff

If you remember linear algebra and know what's a hilbert spaci, you`re good to go.

It's a solid math foundation but any second year student in math/physics/mechanics get it

What's the intended audience? Considering that you do Quantum mechanic daily, I assumed you studied physics and knew QED and QCD but forgot about it?

Got my master in theoretical physics 20 years ago, moved to experimental physics and now do engineering and applied physics , so I cannot anymore decipher my QCD notes

But I also wonder why there's so many pharmacies in France. In almost any city I've been to it's hard to not have a green flashing cross in sight.

French pharmacies cannot open where they want, there is a limit in how many pharmacy a city can have, on the flip coin, it means that they are relatively evenly spread out across the country, and that even in the so called empty diagonal you`ll find a pharmacy.

Physician do not have this restriction, so many of them go to either Paris or the French riviera, while in rural area in the Northern half, you struggle to find a doctor.

Let's imagine, a world where 10 month a year, men and women don't care about each other. However, twice a year, during 2-3 weeks, non pregnant women produce pheromone that men can't resist and start calling every boy around to breed with them.

How would this impact the civilisation ?

I know about David Brin's *glory season * but not sure whether any other writer explored that idea.

It may-be a bit too niche for lemmy (and !aviation@lemmyfly.org is empty or even de3ad)

But is there a local software to visualize GPS traces ? One of my vario provider has it's own online UI, and the other has a web igc viewer, but sometimes I'd like to visualize them locally, especially with a way to see the airspace around

When I was a kid, I learned about Dinosaur being "giant lizard", and it's been may-be 10 years, that I hear "Birds are dinosaurs".

I am curious on how the concept evolve, both among paleontologists, and among the general public.
