I quit my unecessarily stressful job with no plan next, and I feel like anything is possible now!

Definetly not everyone buys bricks, and I'm not sure any construction company actually import bricks from other continents.. Is this relevant for us??

Atheist, I never was interested in spirituality as I believe religions are population control tools.

However, I recently got the chance to meet Sikh peoples, and I understand they define themselves more as warriors than group of religious people. I just fell in love with what they are, what they represent.

Thanks for sharing! I'm also part of the degoogle demeta journey, glad some alternatives are already here!

Personally using Olvid with my friends and family but I guess it's only for very close connexions. Although I like it lot I doubt anyone else (more distant friends?) will download this app to contact me.

(It's free without the ability to initiate calls but everything else is here and works perfectly: groupchats, voice messages, sending photos)

Degoogle + BuyFromEU + Privacy: I'd like to share about my smartphone apps replacement journey:

WhatsApp -> Olvid

Gmail -> Mailo

Reddit -> Lemmy

Play store -> Aurora store (no account needed)

Google (browser and search engine) -> Qwant

Google maps -> Here Wego

Gboard -> Heliboard

All trails -> Komoot

ChatGPT -> LeChat

Any recommendation to replace the following?

  • Google Drive,
  • Google photo,
  • Apple wallet (I'd like an alternative to pay with my phone)

Qwant maps has been out for a year, as the developers goal was to focus on the search engine improvement. With the increased trend to promote european alternatives (BuyFromEU) and growing concerns over privacy (Degoogle) we saw some alternatives such as Organic Maps, Here Wego, Mapy.cz etc...

I feel like Qwant Maps was aiming to be a true Google Maps replacement, so here is my question: In your opinion should it be brought back to life or are you happy with other existing alternatives?
