He’s doing his own research

Hack and slash where you start as a base class and then level up/evolve, Pokemon style into some super awesome final class (Paladin, Wizard, Rogue, etc)

Well, yeah, don’t get the plastic one and keep reusing it when a metal one is sturdier.

Agreed. I’m an SEO and I haven’t seen meaningful ranking adjustment by fixing page speed scores myself, but others may depending on the competition level and niches.

It’s meant more as a minor signal and a tie breaker. If SEO is roughly the same for two competing companies but one has page speeds of 2 second load times and the other 5 second, then the 2 second load time page may get a bump above the other 5 second one.

Now, I say MAY because there’s a lot that goes into it and maybe one brand has better on page conversion rates over the other one or something else that might affect things.

Why have I done that? Because when I get them first thing in the morning, I want to hold them captive all day long. I don't want them leaving the building.

Then he goes on to talk about child care on site. He also mentioned having all their food and stuff there (which I assume they have to pay for and it’s not provided).

You want slaves, dude. Just use plain English and stop with corp speak. He probably wants them to sleep there too and just build their lives around “the company” who is their “family”. Fucking hate this bullshit.

Cool. So I provided examples of things can be done, tried, and didn’t move the needle.

What’s your plan? We make tired jokes because things that get tried don’t work so that’s how many cope with shittiness.

Well, voting hasn’t worked to curb these issues and government has been inept at doing much beyond fines. Our option then is really just to murder them all. I am not going to spearhead that. Are you? Would love your solutions since you are sick of the action we can take.

You’re welcome. It could honestly be anything technical with a site like rendering issues or inadvertently blocking crawlers through robots directives, but I’m betting it has to do with the rankings, especially if you’re seeing them come back in the search engine results pages (SERPs).

There was a Google core algorithm update during that time as well as a spam update. Google had released what they called the “helpful content update” in 2023 where they are trying to reward well written content that gives users value (solves a problem, answers a query well, etc). This did hurt a lot of small and independent publishers. They have been making adjustments and putting out smaller updates.

They are trying to get rid of the spammy crap in their search results that has popped up, but it’s Google and they constantly fuck things up.

The update rolling out now is meant to help address meaningful content that hurt some of those publishers in 2023.

What a loser. I don’t want presidential candidates that can’t find growth in their companies. What a basement dweller. Sad.

Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time. A long time.

Good. I’m willing to bet the product people wanted it be like this but got push back from higher ups. The community response helped to temper the higher ups and level set impact.

I enjoy dndbeyond and it works for me, but if they want to make these decisions and tell me to fuck off then I will. However, if they want to make these decisions and actually get input from the community to keep people happy then great!
