So it's a, uh, flooded pine forest?

Elon wants to make more money. One of the ways he can envision making more money is selling brain implants and the procedure to install them

Yep. Gotta know the difference between being a bit sore from growing strength vs pain of damaging your body.

They're just saying that it feels good to their confirmation bias.

I've seen flamethrower drones

Maybe buy the space and have them put up a photo of what's behind it?

In a non-nuclear apocalypse, I think they'd work wonderfully for a while. Some especially well built varieties might last long enough for people to figure out how to make new ones.

For a movie or in a book, I think they'd work best for a mad dash to safety immediately after the collapse of civilization. Whizzing past gridlocked cars on the way out of town, running out of charge half a mile short of the top of a mountain pass, recharging just enough on regen braking down the other side to make it to the destination for the night.

After a few years, any working electric bikes would be highly prized. Bikes drawing power from trailers of lead acid batteries and then diy batteries would be attempted to various degrees of success. Plain bicycles and walking would be the normal ways of getting wherever one might want to go.

Does a Steam deck have sim card capability?

Yeah, just a bit thicker so that the cameras can fit flush or slightly recessed into the back of the phone would be much better than that monstrosity.

So, a portable gaming device that happens to also make phone calls?

[–] Usernameblankface@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Oh wow! I forgot just how thick that thing was. That's just ridiculous!

[–] Usernameblankface@lemmy.world 0 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The bump is what it takes to deliver the product that most buyers want. between the stats we already want and advertising influencing what we want, the best seller ends up being the phone with the bump.

If you don't like that, you're looking for some kind of limited edition for a specific market or cheap version of the latest and greatest.

They do still make a few flip phones if you want to go hardcore with your approach.

There was an extra thick phone with an unbelievably long lasting battery available a few years back. It didn't sell well enough to stay on the market.

In Copilot Designer, DAL-E 3 Prompt: a knit sweater with mechanic tools all over it. featuring the slogan, "FIX IT AGAIN TONY" and a fiat logo

Bing still struggles with words

I threw together some lyrics and had Suno put a voice and music to it.

Also, what prompts have gotten you the best deep thumpy bass results?

In other news, Copilot Designer can now resize its output from 1:1 to 3:4 landscape

I started with "thanks, I hate it" and put it together with some of the other common responses to awful posts that people wish they hadn't seen. The automatic lyrics generator on Suno filled out the lyrics and made it all rhyme. Then I added some more common comments on awful posts. To get around cursing, I used Well That's Fantastic

I thought it would be funny to have it generate a country song about city life, and then have it generated in a metal / dubstep style.

as a country song, it sounds like this

https://suno.com/song/ddf705ad-c022-4b78-8f8e-7e1039354a8d

I was just thinking about how LLM's sweep up all these words from everywhere and use it for training data, some of it bought and paid for, most of it not.

So I put some lines into Suno and let it fill out the rest of the song. A few iterations later, this came out

My laptop charges with USB C, so when the standard charger broke, I just used the USB out port from an EcoFlow battery. The display on the battery said the laptop pulled 25-30 watts while charging. So, why can't I use just any USB brick that can output more than 30 watts?

Is there something that is bound to go wrong that I don't know about?

Are laptop chargers really that special?
