I'm expressing my dissatisfaction with the product just like you're expressing your dissatisfaction with my preference. You're not the only one entitled to that.

I don't need to carry a sheet of plywood. I am not a contractor.
Doesn't matter, you don't need the UI. You just connect it to AntennaPod or other supported client(s).
It's not an after thought. It's a mod. You can't mod it to have rear doors and windows, that would require a complete redesign of the entire vehicle.
Sounds like Telo might be more up your alley.
GPodder is the FreshRSS equivalent for podcasts.
What they had been charging was about what other stores have been charging
It's not what Epic charges.
Do you think a company that was by far in the lead over other stores dropping their prices further wouldn't increase their user base even further, making it even harder for competition?
No one would care if they were a monopoly and also charged less than everyone else. Pretty much every monopoly discussion revolves almost entirely around their absurd commission rates.
Steam keeps getting slammed from both sides. They keep getting accused of being a monopoly, , while also getting accused of their rates.
...those are not different sides? The only reason they can charge such absurd rates is because of their position in the marketplace.
I don't want an SUV either. I want a sedan.
I don't think people realize that in order to be cost-effective, it needs to be efficient, because the batteries are by far and away the most expensive component, and if the numbers they've provided are true, this is very much not, which is driving up the price, and it's very simple to see how and why, the thing is shaped like a tall brick.
Check this out:
Slate truck = 57.2kWh battery = 150 mi. range.
Tesla Model 3 SR = 57.5kWh = ~240 mi. range.
Sure, I'm just saying Epic is not any better than Valve in that regard. They're just in a different position. It wouldn't make financial sense for Steam to do something like that.
Yeah, well, I've had better luck with Heroic than Steam proper
I don't believe you.
it boils down to my GoG library being safely backed up in storage media and preserved safely
You can do the same with DRM-free Steam games. If you don't understand that, I can't help you but you're wrong.
The settings are way too complicated and defaults are not intuitive. Took me forever to figure out how to purge old downloads I hadn't listened to. Constant errors when trying to download. Does not want to play video podcasts as audio-only.
