It also allows for much longer distance attacks. With a spotter and repeater thy can hit targets at the far edge of the FPV drones flight time.

The distance also explains why you sometimes see them "waste" a drone on an already destroyed target. They are too far out to recover the drone so they make sure the enemy can't use them.

Tsk.. tsk... tsk... For clarity JS actually claimed to have:

"Read glowing writings off a stone placed in a hat."

Its much more believable that way...

When I worked in research our lab staff spoke 10 different languages.

After a couple of years, everyone swore fluently in 10 languages.

Transition to irrigated only production combined with moving to EV and we'd need 75% less land for corn. While still eating the same amount of meat.

Banning open range and converting to annual crop rotational grazing would decrease land usage for grazing by 70-80%.

Moving all vegetable production to protected culture would decrease land area needed by 50% or more.

Around 70-80% of environments we destroy for farming/ranching is completely unnecessary. We have the technology and ability to grow what we need an less than 25% of the land area we currently dedicate for agriculture.

I have been attempting to use Linux for 20 years now. It has found its niche used for me over the years. For example when my kids were toddlers they had a old machine that defaulted to PBSkids. Before that I used it to run a gaming server.

Currently I have a old laptop that I dual boot with win 10 and whatever Linux distro I feel like trying at the moment.

The win 10 on the laptop barely meets the minimum hardware requirements and takes 10 minutes to load.

I have tried a few different distros and always had a few issues with the setup. All sorts of different ones - screen orientation, WiFi connection, printer hell, keyboard layout etc. Takes me days to fix the bugs or give up.

Mint takes 2 minutes to load and so far is working seamlessly. It's apt manager is the easiest I have used in a Linux distro. It found my network printer automatically. It runs smoother than windows 7 did on my laptop.

With Microsoft ending win 10 for the shitty win 11, I imagine many people are looking for alternatives. If Mint continues to work to make setup and usage easy, it will gain market share rapidly. It's not all the way there yet, but it's a hell of a lot better than before.

Evaluating products based upon quality not being loyal to a brand ca save you a ton of money.

Brand loyalty is taking advantage of the brain being lazy. It doesn't want to reprocess every little thing. So when something has worked well in the past, people tend to grab the same brand. It takes a lot for people to reconsider their choices again.

Once companies break the brand loyalty due to shit performance, it is extremely difficult to get it back. This is why mismanaged brands that have gone to shit, always attempt to rebrand themselves.

The most memorable example of this for me was a long time ago. I was newly married and very poor. I was just starting to build my tool collection in the apartment.

I needed a circular saw to repair some craigslist furniture. So I carefully went around to the hardware stores looking at the prices. They were all more than I was willing to spend.

Then in Walmart one day I took a look at what they offered. It was pretty much an exact replica of the top of the line model at 1/4 of the price. The box was a bit dusty and next to another saw with the same name and UPC. It was obviously a newer box of the same item. It was the cheapest looking thing I could imagine. Completely different from the older one. It looked like a great way to lose some fingers and toes.

I grabbed the solid looking one and walked happily out of the store. It's had a lot of use since then, and it's still working flawlessly. I am still the proud owner of all my fingers and toes.

When I was in grade school principle had a big black paddle that he would spank kids with. The parents had to be informed and agree to it. A couple of the kinds in my class got it every year.

Guess who's behavior always got worse after that.

A couple of them eventually got expelled after smashing the principles car up with rocks. They also hit him with a few of them as well.

Depressiom is a malfunction of the brain, just like diabetes is of the pancreas. It has both genetic and environmental triggers.

Some people are going to contact the disease early for no apparent reason. They fight it their entire lives.

Other people have strong environmental influences that trigger the disease. The right treatment can effectively stop or even reverse the progression of the disease. Other people are resistant to the treatment the the disease progresses unchecked.

Both diseases are deadly if not treated at all.

The hardest part for people suffering from depression is that the disease itself fights against treatment. All the things that people need to do to feel better are the last things a depress person wants to do: Set a regular sleep cycle, have a strong exercise routine, eat well balanced food, take your medication on time, avoid self-medicating with other drugs, attend therapy regularly, interact with supportive friends, engage in hobbies they enjoy, etc... aka a living hell and a daily battle requiring energy they don't have. Oh and every part treatment takes time to have an effect as well. So at the beginning (2-5 years) they have to do all that work to still feel like shit at the end of the day.

Had one company where you couldn't use the same password for 12 months, 10 digit minimum, and had to change it every month

My very secure password series at the time.

Unfortunately he was completely wrong. As sad experience has shown, people are dumb.

Antimask, antivax, religious cults, affinity fraud, a felon former president, Fox news, and the long lost of lying sacks of shit out to destroy the world and the country for personal gain.

Governments must enforce a level of fraud prevention to protect the vulnerable dumbasses who fall for everything

Happens on both my Nokia G50 and S23. Scrolling past a hundred plus post it becomes sluggish then crashes the app.

Perhaps something to do with memory management?
