Which is exactly why I said go downballot first. We know what happens when a president doesn't fall in line with his own party. Carter was a disaster which led directly into Reagan and I'm sure we don't need to hash out how bad that was. long term. Now take that and make that president not even have a party with a plurality of seats, let alone a majority, and it's a recipe for disaster.
