But if we're wrong about climate change we'll have made the air breathable for no reason. ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

They'd be justified.
The point is to not condemn the oppressed without regard for their oppression.
Colonizers are always responsible for any violence that follows.
I know the solution is to see a dietation, and only stock my home with healthy foods and go to the gym maybe but the truth is I can't really afford that
You don't need a dietician to do the second part and you don't need a gym membership to work out.
I was 210 pounds a few months ago. Now I'm 190 pounds. All I've changed is eating less fast food. If you're otherwise healthy it really is as simple as reducing calories.
If your mom is otherwise supportive, you should just tell her that you need to change your diet, both for your physical and mental health. If she doesn't respect that, you should, if it's safe, apply pressure.
Unity changed the license, so developers have to pay a fee for every install of games made with Unity. Notice that it's "install". Not "sale". Not "download".
They claim they won't count installs from demos, cracks, charity bundles, re-installs, etc, but absolutely no one trusts them at this point. Several devs have said they're switching engine, despite the large cost of that.
What he's saying is that Putin doesn't get to dictate which alliances sovereign nations can join.
Chances are that we're not in a simulation, but you're right that for our universe to be simulated, the host universe would need fundamentally different physics.
Even then, I feel like you're underestimating the scale of the universe. Dwarf Fortress is laughably simple compared to a real universe. It's a toy. You'd need something more than a couple extra dimensions for our universe to be at all comparable to that.
there is this theory that in an endless or nearly universe, it is basically given, that some species will invent a computer that is capable of simulating an universe, which in turn will have a simulation going, because the same rules apply
My main gripe with simulation theory is that this claim just seems... false.
First off, it's not possible to create a simulation of equal complexity to the host universe, so each iteration would necessarily have to be smaller, and I would contend significantly so.
Even the wildest theoretical computers can't even simulate Earth, much less the universe.
Well, you'd be wrong. Pedophilia is well studied. It's attraction to children, and there's a huge amount of variation in how that is expressed and how the psychology around it develops through a person's life. Baselessly claiming that all people with pedophilia are just rapists who want easy prey is unhelpful nonsense.
GPT can write and edit code that works. It simply can't be true that it's solely doing language patterns with no semantic understanding.
To fix your analogy: the Spanish speaker will happily sing along. They may notice the occasional odd turn of phrase, but the song as a whole is perfectly understandable.
Edit: GPT can literally write songs that make sense. Even in Spanish. A metaphor aiming to elucidate a deficiency probably shouldn't use an example that the system is actually quite proficient at.
