If that's what the history books will show, that USA crumbled because a horndog had her intern blow him, then I can't wait to read it.
Finally! Some good fucking news.
On a side note: I wonder if their abortion rights has gotten better, last I heard they had regressed a lot on that front.
Huh, I never knew Windows had SSH server capabilities - besides WSL of course :D
That's a clever solution indeed. I assume you're SSH'ed into something, but where? And what scripting language? Bash?
I'd die of cringe if I did that.
It pisses me off as well. It seems so out of place.
It's one of my favorite movies. I was still a pre-18 teen when it came out, in fact 1999 was an amazing year for western media, not just amount of amazing movies, but also music and games.
But I always found it odd how it resonated with me so well when I was barely old enough to work in an office, perhaps besides as a telemarketer or intern or something.
Anywho, to be an old man yelling at clouds here, I wonder if it's worth straining archive.org's servers by watching full movies from them. I'm thinking of this specifically because they're currently being sued for 700 million dollars by the music industry and it might not survive this time around.
PS: Speaking of Mike Judge, he's made some other amazing things like Beavis and Butthead, King of the Hill and Idiocracy. I just watched Common Side Effects which was amazing as well.
Scattered thoughts about the movie:
And to answer the question "how well is autism represented?", I'd probably say it was "fine". I actually think it was worse in this movie because it played too much into the neurodivergent superpowers trope. On the other hand, that could look empowering to some.
Obviously spoilers
I don't like the voice that Ben Affleck is using in the sequel, it sounds so forced, his performance was a lot more believable in the first one. The whole whole center of autistic children/teens working as hackers was also hard to believe. And Justine using the expression "normie" was pretty cringe. And then there's the "acquired savant syndrome" which made a regular mom into a super assassin, that was also hard to believe. But as a sequel, maybe not the worst. Jon Bernthal did a lot to pull it up several grades, but the first one was definitely better.
Ben Affleck took a bit of a backseat in this one, and he didn't do too bad besides how he sounded almost like Arnold Schwarzenegger in the motel.
