Their point is that China doesn’t innovate, they imitate. And when they try to innovate they fake it (see Chinese robots that are actually humans in costumes). Authoritarianism doesn’t generally lend to productive creativity no matter how many people they have to pool from.

The US is more like the EU than any specific country as each state has its own laws but are also bound by federal ones. In Colorado, where I live, we all vote by mail in ballot, which can be mailed in or dropped off in voting drop boxes anytime. No need to drive to a polling station or wait in line.

Depends on the situation honestly. We offer financing through my work for our clients and the 0% option is still a good deal. Not all of them are designed to screw people.

Yes, it’s one of those resort neighborhoods. We have trails, wide sidewalks, wide bike lanes (this is what everyone drives their carts on usually).

Using uYou via AltStore and it’s such a better experience. I’d rather stop using YouTube altogether than pay Alphabet to use YouTube without ads. I’m not enabling user hostile behavior to push people into Premium. Screw that.

To clarify further, in the US, the IRS cares about the big businesses too and they get audited, at least, yearly by law. Also, small businesses can still operate if they have the capital to do so. The IRS is concerned about ensuring no laundering or otherwise nefarious activities are going on, which is why they get the spotlight when running in the red consistently.

Children are driving them too so you probably have a good point with the DUI angle I hadn’t considered.

People in my neighborhood have golf carts as well. I don’t get it either. Just drive the car …

The main players in the party just pushed that too far and didn’t realize so many there were nature lovers (especially in FL where there are protected bird sanctuaries on the beaches, the entirety of the Everglades, Gopher Tortoise and Sandhills Crane protections, etc).

And it’s hard for anyone to say no to multi-millions that will change your family’s life by selling when it’s not even 1% of the corporations profit. Can’t blame them for selling out really. I’d do the same thing and so would you.

And? How has that harmed you overall?

Not saying I like that they track everything but I’ve yet to see it impact me personally.
