From a managers POV, if it’s a case of he said she said it’s almost impossible to investigate fairly if there aren’t any other witnesses.

This is it. I hit middle aged and wanted a new career challenge. I got it, excelled more than I expected (the peer competition out there sucks ya’ll), and had more time on my hands than I have had for decades. Kids old enough, etc. I had to sit down and decide to stop wasting the day reading the web/social media, and take on some hobbies. Helped immensely. Oh and that new impractical Mazda we bought is fun as hell to drive (most cars are too watered down and boring).

We aren’t trying to screw you, the actual solutions (not bandaids) are just expensive (paying for knowledge, skill, equipment, and parts). That 5 min fix took years to know to look for and how to fix quickly, plus have the part on the truck for immediate installation. Typically a quick tech is a good tech if the problem is solved.

Important bit:

In experiments on postmortem human brain tissue donated from patients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, and Pick's disease (a form of frontotemporal dementia), the novel antibody medicine not only cleared away tau tangles but also stopped the release of 'tau seeds', which travel via connected neurons to tangle up proteins in other parts of the brain.

Many open questions remain, including whether this treatment delivered intranasally in humans will allow penetration of the antibody in effective doses throughout our much larger brains and whether there are any potentially dangerous side effects like inflammation, which is a concern in all of the amyloid-directed immunotherapy trials," write Meftah, Durrant, and Spires-Jones.

The Yale Assure is a fantastic lever style lock with a module system for different smarts compatibility. We have one and it’s high quality with a lot of features. Hasn’t failed us yet. Its number pad is under glass and lights up when the Yale logo is pressed so it doesn’t look too smart (physical buttons).

Until it affects businesses it won’t change. Once they start to add them to Office, it’s all over.

AYANEO is making another Android-based gaming handheld – but this one has a trick up its sleeve. The Pocket EVO is the world's first Android handheld with a 7-inch 120Hz OLED screen, according to the manufacturer. That high refresh rate should mean smoother gameplay, assuming there are enough titles to support it.

Based on the design of the AYANEO 2S, the Pocket EVO boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chipset, which will ensure it has plenty of grunt for AAA mobile gaming and emulation.

Not even half way through and I’ve already learned so much. Great article so far!

The Rocky Mountains extend into NE Washington state. The map is a very rough approximation at best.

I make more than the average by quite a bit and have unlimited time off, my wife works PT to get out of the house and gets paid well also with basically unlimited unpaid time off (there’s the catch). Even we aren’t taking a normal vacation for us this year (flying to see family or exotic getaway), instead staying within the state and doing cheaper things like camping.

Money doesn’t change, it enables.

This is one of the greatest reasons to get a MacBook. It just sleeps instantly and sleeps seemingly forever (loses about 2% overnight). No need to deal with Window’s BS hibernation mode that takes longer to wake than just powering it off and then on.

Now just to get work to let me get a MacBook as my next hardware instead of another Thinkpad (most of my work is cloud based or in the Office suite).

F’ing notepad every time.

A small medium at large.

Problem: when placed on the bottom, the jump button blocks the last comment in a thread.

Solution: Need to be able to scroll past the top of the jump button on the last comment

When editing a comment and posting the edit, if you then want to re-edit the comment you get the original comment, not the edited version. This only happens when using the 3 dot menu on the right of the comment. If you tap and hold and use that edit, it shows the most recent. Supremely annoying.

When changing what gestures do in Settings > Gestures the color doesn’t change with the gesture you choose.

Ex. Reply to Long swipe and bookmark to short swipe. The gestures change but reply now has a green background and bookmark is blue.

It looks like this is probably in the works since the Use System Text Size option doesn’t do anything currently but just in case it isn’t I’d like the option to increase text size from the system default.
