I'm just slightly less out of the loop than you, read somewhere it would take a bit longer than Space X but there is some kind of emergency rocket ready-ish.

That's absolutely a factor but it's also all the issues that are popping up regarding build quality.
Bad deliveries/customer service, issues with door panels, water leaks, general build quality, etc. There are a lot of things right as well but like you said, he's tainting the image and further putting negative pressure on the brand.
What kind of malfunction do you possess if you keep windows open on a boat, during a storm?
Especially in an environment like Japan too, no way anyone is going to volunteer for that.
